I’ve used them all really and this is noticeably the best. Especially at this reasonable price per litre. Only one that actually blocks its own pipe if you squeeze too hard.

Peaty’s Holeshot tyre sealant… okay, this is one of those products that’s doing something kind of amazing, and most people don’t even realise it’s happening. So inside your tyre, you’ve got this liquid just… moving around. Quietly. Waiting. And the moment something goes wrong—a puncture, a tear—it reacts. Instantly. It rushes to the problem and seals it. Like a defensive response. Like the system protecting itself. And I think that’s kind of incredible. You’re riding, everything feels normal, and something could have stopped you—but it doesn’t. Because this is in there, doing its job without you even noticing. That’s trust. You’re relying on something you can’t see, and it comes through for you. The consistency is really well judged. Not too thick, not too thin—it flows properly, coats the inside of the tyre, reaches where it needs to go. It’s… adaptive. It responds to the environment inside the tyre in real time. And it handles a lot. Small punctures, thorns, debris—you’d expect issues, but it just… resolves them. Quietly. Efficiently. You keep riding. The system stays intact. There’s also something reassuring about knowing it’s there. Like you’re not alone out on the trail. There’s this layer of protection working with you, keeping things balanced, keeping things moving. And I think people overlook that. They focus on tyres, wheels, pressure—but this? This is part of the ecosystem too. It’s what keeps everything functioning when things don’t go perfectly. Lets be honest - you put this in your tyres and hope that you never see it again as you won't get a puncture. I have put it in some MTB tyres and so far it hasn't let me down - but I have had no punctures so far Needed to shake thoroughly to evenly distribute the blue bead bits before injecting but easy to inject - a little bit of mess (more me than the product I suspect) and easy to wipe up Big bottle and quite good value

As with all of peaty's products, this works extremely well. I've only had one puncture that it was unable to seal permanently, but even that was still restricted to slow puncture (dropping by a couple of PSI per hour). I've also not had issues with valves clogging.

Rather disappointed with this purchase, I’ve used a full litre in a little over a year, it does seem to seal small holes, but my big problem with it is that it dries to an incredibly hard substance that is impossible to remove without metal implements, this is a massive problem for 2 reasons, the first is that the valves become caked, this means that if you get a sufficiently bad puncture and need to put in a tube, you can’t because you can’t unscrew the valve! Second is that cleaning your frame is an absolute nightmare, luckily mine is titanium so not a lot of harm done, but I don’t think owners of carbon bikes would be very happy with having to take a knife to their frame! I’ve moved over to Marriposa cafelatex which as well as getting good reviews for its sealing skills it’s also made from natural latex which is very easy to remove.

It comes down to information overload grrrrr! Spin me around like a top and point me in the right direction! All I want to know is who makes the best tubeless tyre sealant? Sound familiar? If you can say yes, then you're not alone! I like Peaty's Holeshot Biofibre Tubeless Tyre Sealant. It cleans up well. I can't say how well it seals minor or major wholes. Going tubeless setup gives me a little bit of security will on the open road and the occasional off road. Pros Seals super fast and securely on holes up to 8mm Coats porous tires really well Black glitter shows it’s shaken enough Biodegradable Wide working temp and pressure range Doesn’t smell of urinals Cons Glitter haters will still hate Slow through some valves Footnote If you’re happy with Peaty’s and don’t have sealing issues, there’s no strong reason to switch. But if you want the most proven all-rounder, Stan’s is the default choice for a reason.

Like many, I started with Orange Seal and then Stan's sealants. Orange Seal changed their formulation, and I found it not as effective. Stan's was okay, but the lack of viscosity means it tends to bleed through supple tire casings more frequently (and continuously). Overall, I think Silca's sealant provides some of the best overall sealing power. That said, not being able to inject it in the valve stem is a big limitation (and it tends to clog valve stems over time, and dries into a big glob in your tire faster). Muc-Off is another sealant I've had good luck with as well... longer lasting than most. Peaty's has been a great overall balance for me. Injecting it directly from the bottle has been easy for initial installation (and follow up top offs), and I've found it to be effective at stopping leaks. Generally it stops leaking through on supple casing tires... I've been happy with it.
