Lightronic M10 Premium 316 Stainless Steel Anti-Theft Locking Nuts Security Hardware Kit for LED Light Bar Work Lights (4 Lock+ 1 Key)

Installed PIAA LP530 driving lights on my truck and wanted something to make it harder to steal my expensive lights. They fit the PIAA mounting bolts thread pattern exactly. They have a nice finish and fit the locking key securely so they can be tightened down easily using a 14mm socket. KC Highlights wants $20 for only two nuts and here you get four so a way better deal with free shipping. The way my lights are mounted on the front bumper of my 2004 Ford Superduty the nuts are up behind the bumper. They can only be reached with a socket and a 5 inch extension. There is no way a large set of pliers or a hammer and a chisel could be used to get at these nuts so I feel they are secure from theft. The thief would have to remove my whole bumper to get at them. At this point the risk of theft is now only the two bolts mounting the actual lamp to the mounting bracket. My plan is to change those out with anti theft bolts to make lights even more secure.

I went out of town and didn't have enough time to take my top tent of my car before parking it at the airport.. bought these and they arrived overnight.. I ended up just buying the 4 pack and put them on two of the for brackets and they worked like a charm. I definitely recommend getting a ratchet wrench if you have it directly on the top of your roof. There's very limited space for your hand to comfortably and effectively tighten the nuts and the ratchet wrench helps out so much. Will cut the time in half when it comes to putting on and taking off.

Although the price is very high, the quality makes up for it. I don't know which grade of Stainless Steel these are but they look great. The machining is so good that they look like billet items. It is also very good that the socket has a hole all the way through it so that longer bolts will go right through it. As I said, the price is high but if they save my $1400 LED lights from being stolen then they are worth every penny. I also bought the M10 size. I wish that they sold 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8". I would buy all of them too.

I was in need of some unique hardware to prevent reoccurrence of a motorcycle muffler theft, and found these. The bolt shape appears to be CNC cut from a round M8 bolt and they thread cleanly onto any m8 bolt with a 1.25 thread pitch. Time will tell as to whether the material here withstands oxidation and I will update the review if I notice rust. I would agree with reviewers who state the threads seem slightly loose; I don’t believe this will impact ability to apply the kind of torque you’d need for accessories but these probably shouldn’t be used for any high-torque application. I would suggest using a red loctite thread locker compound to enhance the security these offer. Time will tell if these withstand a channel-lock/vice-grip attack but I suspect the shape will at least make it more difficult. I did not find at that a box wrench with a 12-point opening could get purchase on these nuts. Not perfect, but better security than with a hex nut at least.

Fitted perfectly. They look very hard to remove without the special tool.

I bought these and another type of security but that uses irregular pins. That one seems much more secure in a direct comparison. Either could probably be removed with vice grips but this one I could easily remove with a 9/16 inch wrench. The security nut pattern lines up close enough that you can just take it right off with that wrench. Pretty useless as a security nut.

Easy to use and fit with a custom driver supplied which both tightens and loosens. Was able also to torque up with a wrench.

These work great to safely secure a kayak carrier to the roof racks.

Bien pero Mejorable para el precio que tiene. La medida de la tuerca no es 12mm exacto por lo que las llaves para apretar tienen juego. No es inox, es aluminio y mala calidad
