these are very nice drums - skins have same feel as drum head - and you can't even hear them so I can play anytime - even at night - cymbals are just OK - the drum locations are relatively specific with little play for where the drum sits on the frame - I feel the whole set sits a little too low for me and wish I could make it higher - I guess I could put it up on blocks to raise it up a little

These are really good quality. Bought for my grandson and he loves them. My son has a big set of drums he plays but these are great for 9-10yr old grandkids. His dad can even teach him on these!!!! Love it!!!

I am a new drummer just learning the drums. I have probably put a good 15 - 20 hours on it over the last 3 weeks. Unfortunately the most used cymbal, the Hi Hat, already started rattling because 2 screw posts broke right off.The good: InexpensiveSturdy standDecent mesh padsThe OK:The module is good enough.the pedals workThe bad:The drum throne is for children, Its short and wobbly without much padding. A must replace.The cymbals have a very small sweet spot and ONE ALREADY BROKE.Overall I think this would be a great kit for someone under 14 or someone that wont play much. I can tell already that this really doesn't meet the needs of a serious beginner.Update: Donner customer service never got back to me on the damaged cymbal so I returned set in all original packaging. Still waiting on refund even though they received return over a week ago. Have to lower my rating for poor customers service in addition to a cheap product. No comparison to my replacement set of another brand. Alesis is much better.Update #2: Aug.2023 Out of the blue, a year after the initial purchase, Donner customer service contacted me and offered me a replacement drum kit. I thought it was a fake, but they sent me a replacement even though I told them I was going to just give it to my grandson to learn. I will give them credit for reaching out to me. I think it is a great set for my grandson to learn on especially at the price point. I stand by my original review, but have adjusted for customer service trying to make it right. It's a 4 star kit if its for under 12 or 13 yr olds.

Easy to set up. Good for beginner.

MORE LIKE A TOY. THE THRONE(SEAT) IS TOO SMALL FOR AN ADULT. IT SOUNDS LIKE A TOY UNLESS YOU BUY EZDRUMMER OR A PROGRAM LIKE IT FOR DECENT DRUM SOUNDS. THE CYMBALS SOUND LIKE CRAP AND DON'T CHOKE RIGHT AND SO DO THE TOM SOUNDS. THE BASS DRUM TRIGGER IS THE CLOSEST TO REAL SOUND ON THE KIT. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. TOOK FOREVER TO SET UP THE KIT WITH TOM SOUNDS I EVEN CAME CLOSE TO KIND OF LIKING THEN I FOUND OUT IT DOESN'T SAVE THE KIT YOU SET UP UNLESS YOU HAVE A PROGRAM LIKE EZDRUMMER

Bought this for my daughter as a starter kit to try out drums. Very impressed. Easy set up. Had her jamming in no time.

Item arrived, tried a couple of days and suddenly lost any sound from the drum set. Some Internal component was generating static and there was not way to pick any sound from cymbals anymore. Tried different suggestions on the web and nothing worked. Amazon misguided me towards retuning the item and 6 months later of fighting back they don't want refund me leading to a total debt so far of $1k. In a side note Amazon has the worse Customer Service ever.

Bought for my son and he loves them. I love that they are much quieter than his previous real set. To me the sound is incredible, but I am not a musician. Plenty of different things you can do with the sounds. We will likely never use this set to it's full potential but it works great. Super easy to put together. Only took 20 minutes tops. Would recommend.
