What is the best way to operate this product to avoid jams and errors?

When using the P6500 you must hold the paper in the center and drop the paper into the machine. You can’t hold onto the paper as it enters the machine or it could pull the paper from your hand crooked and jam the machine. Likewise, if you hold the paper on the side instead of the top you will induce a twist as the paper enters the machine causing a jam.

Can this fold a heavy stock paper?

I doubt it. It kept jamming w regular paper so I returned it. I think when you buy a paper folder, you need to go up a ways in price.

does this work with window envelopes?

This paper folder only folds paper. It has nothing to do with envelopes. It does Half Fold and Letter Fold. Once the paper is folder, you have to manually insert the document into the envelope. You would need to make sure that when folded, the information you want shown on the windows of the envelope is what you need to be shown.

Will this machine z-fold an 11x17 sheet that has already been folded in half to be the size of 8.5x11?

Do not buy this machine. Bought first one after 50 copies folded it wouldn’t shut off. Sent it back took a new one, maybe 40 copies thru this one , it will not turn off. I’m done it’s going back.
