We are about to celebrate our 125th year since our founding and there's a lot of programs and past directories that needed a "good safe home". This worked great. Good quality, opens well, about the right weight.

I tricked it out to not only fit the microscope but also the accessories. I put on a handle for picking up and carrying. I attached latches to prevent unintended opening. I stained it chestnut. I didn’t finish it as well as I could have if I spent more time but it’s not a piece of furniture, cabinet, door or molding so it is good enough for me.

This box is cheaply made. Not worth the money. The hinge broke as soon as I opened it. The lid is held open by a cheap ribbon stapled on each side. It is the worst color brown and smells as if it has just been painted. I could have done a better job making this box. It's going back!
