It was packed well and bolted on a pallet, the cardboard carton that surrounded it was a little worse for wear but the contents were fine (undamaged). Note: the generator requires a battery but it’s not included, and if you live in cold weather country you’ll want to order the cold kit which includes a battery warmer and oil filter warmer (worth the money). Also, if you have home wireless there are several features you can take advantage of including Generac’s mobile link which allows for remote monitoring and alerts etc. (visit their site and read more there). I must say the unit is much quieter than I though it would be, I fired the unit up to initialize and we let it run for a bit while we reignited it etc., by wife was in a bedroom right next to where the unit is located and she did not hear a thing. Standing right in front of it with the covers on and shut its extremely quiet, very impressive! (Note: I’m using LP gas and I understand that is quieter than natural gas. (This generator will use either once you set it up right, just a lever to move.) overall very happy with my purchase.
