I really love this product. This is a very great nontoxic swap for anyone who is looking to do that. All clean material that this toothbrush is made with. And no, the bristles do not hurt my mouth nor gums at all. The bristles are durable just as the handle as well. This is worth the money as it is actually made with no plastic, not even the actual container it comes in. Its appearance is pretty average, it’s just a bamboo handle that is straight with no grooves and a logo at the bottom engraved. Id say it’s slightly heavier than that of an average plastic toothbrush, but is the same size and that doesn’t effect its use negatively. Only thing I can say that may be negative is a few of the bristles do shed in the beginning of use, but nothing dramatic or significant. Overall, I recommend this product to everyone and think that it is a good swap for the typical plastic made toothbrushes.

June 2020:Pro: The handle is very comfortable The bristles are not soft, more hard/medium. Bristles get softer with time. Teeth feel well brushed.Con: The bristles shed and spread out early. It seems that the bristles won't last long.This is my first time using a Boar Bristles, so I'm not sure if this is normal.April: 2021:I have used all of the brushes. The pack lasted me 10 months. I changed the brush about every 2 months, instead of the plastic 3 month because the bristles do wear down more than the plastic alternative. This should be expected: it is made of hair, not plastic.Each new brush does shed during the first use, but considering that the product is biodegradable and prevents yet another plastic brush entering the landfill, it's worth a couple hairs in my mouth. Honestly, some brushes shed one hair and others shed four. It's a minor nuisance. I purchased another pack and plan to use them moving forward because they are good quality. As far as I know, this is the only toothbrush that is completely compostable.Note: I went to the dentist last month and was praised for my oral health. Prior to the boar brushed, I used a cheap electric toothbrush. I've always taken care of my teeth, but this was one of the few times I was complemented by a dental professional. These brushes paired with eco friendly floss have helped me maintain my oral health just as well (if not better) than plastic products.

I gave it 5 stars for the fact its exactly as described and what I essentially was shopping for. Which many should take in account if they decide to purchase as well.Its a whole different ballgame when brushing with these as compared to traditional brushes . My first go round I was fortunate enough to not have loose bristles in the mouth. Bristles are hard at first sensitivity in this area be mindful. Cause at first i could describe it as a pushbroom. Which i didnt mind. When you have paste on in your mouth the brush glides after you discharge and go in for a second brush after rinse you'll notice the bamboo handle which design wise I like has some friction on the inside of mouth. For those who aren't accustomed to that it will take getting used too. After all is said and done my mouth and teeth do feel super clean. And I feel like I now need to live in the woods and become a Forrest dweller. The packaging is nice tube could be used again for storage of many similar shaped objects i for one could use it for travel putting pens or pencils for art in it. Sustainable. Organic, no petroleum no micro plastics all the reasons for my purchase. Price isn't bad considering the price for one "plastic designer brush" . So if you'd like to feel like a real Forrest dweller and brush with nature you've come to the right spot.

I have been using this toothbrush for about a month and overall I really love them and the packaging! I have been trying to reduce my plastic consumption and have always hated plastic toothbrushes. I don't like the taste of plastic and how the nylon bristles hold smells and tastes. Luckily this toothbrush with boar hair does not hold any smells or taste!! It has it's own subtle smell on it's own (as does most things), but it is not a bad smell. It's also fully compostable which is a huge plus. For me I've had minimal bristles fall out. Every now and again one will fall out but it's not a big deal because you spit out all the toothpaste anyway so the one bristle every now and again is just spit out. That can be a big con for people, but it's honestly not a big deal to me. The toothbrush head is also rather bulky, it was an adjustment at first to open my mouth wider to brush my teeth, but I also feel like I brush my molars better because I have to really pay attention and open my mouth wider. Overall my teeth actually feel cleaner. This toothbrush is more of a medium softness so if you have super sensitive teeth or damaged enamel this might not be for you. I have found after a couple weeks the bristles actually get softer over time. I keep my toothbrush out of the bathroom because humidity can lead to mold growth! This is not a fault of the toothbrush, but a normal occurrence on natural fibers in very wet or humid conditions, so keep your toothbrushes stored in a dry area of your home. Those little toothbrush holders with holes at the top are humid and wet inside. Honestly disgusting by themselves, don't store this toothbrush in one of those in your humid bathroom. Keep this toothbrush dry and clean it (anything that goes into your mouth should be cleaned every now and again) and you should have no issues!

Bristles come out in your mouth,And the brush is small. They don’t last very long.

The bristles are pretty firm for a toothbrush, which I found I liked. It really scrubbed at that plaque and made my teeth feel like I just got back from the dentist. If you have sensitive gums that bleed easy though, you'll probably tear your mouth up. Good value, not too big or small in the mouth, good toothbrush.

These boar hair toothbrushes are much better than the horse hair toothbrushes that I tried. For one thing, these boar hair toothbrushes look and feel like regular toothbrushes except thinner and lighter to hold and use in the mouth. That helps a little to make it easier to get into crevices, behind rear molars, or wherever you want it to go. They have the firmness of regular nylon toothbrushes, not the weird softness of horse hair. I've never had any problem with bristles coming off, eating bristles, and this is no exception.There are plenty of bamboo toothbrushes on the market, but don't be fooled, as they have bamboo handles with nylon bristles. These have bamboo handles with boar hair bristles only. This is huge if, you know, you want to take a break from cramming plastic down your throat every day. Hehe.

I’ve been a user now since April ‘26 and I can confidently say I like these toothbrushes. The boars hair is the perfect mix of soft and stiff, and it really leaves my teeth feeling clean and they leave my teeth bright and white. I don’t notice any more bristle loss with these than I did a conventional toothbrush - the occasional bristle falls out as with all toothbrushes, but certainly not at any excessive rate or anything. The first toothbrush from the pack I got a bit over 2 months use out of, so they seem to hold up just fine. They are as easy to use and work as well or better than any other brush I’ve tried and the added bonus of being more friendly for the earth and plastic free is nice. As long as I can keep purchasing these toothbrushes, I will continue to use them.

Arrived more than a week earlier than scheduled, so full marks to the seller. Everything was in order. The product itself, fully satisfied. Wood and bristles, simple as. Tried it immediately. Head a little smaller than I'm usually used to but you adapt. Bristles are not rough at all and did their job. Easy to clean and use, and no (known) harmful ingredients. Will get another once they're near used up (6 toothbrushes and you can use each for up to 5-8 weeks, so one pack lasts a long while).
