No Sure on This
I have only used this once and that was today 24 hours after it arrived.. For sure it makes the hair soft, and possibly guides it to your style, but as for hold and most definitely shine neither seem to apply at all. But I will keep on with it and see how it pans out.

Great for fine, low porosity hair!
Extremely pleased with how much my hair loves this! Since my hair is fine, but low porosity, I have a hard time finding something that won’t weigh it down. I made sure to use steam and really squished it in to make sure my hair was able to soak this up. This would be 5 stars for me except for the smell… I do wish UG would work on the smell of their products.
