A standard size disposable water bottle fits sideways in the large part. You could actually have 2 in there. Second part of the bag will fit your phone, air pods, passport etc. the zippered parts on the front and back are small, you can’t get your phone in there but maybe keys, gum, lipbalm etc.The zip pulls are a bit jangly but it’s not the end of the world.This type of bag is great for short hikes, city trips, theme parks and the airport when you need to get into your bag often but need to carry more than just your phone.
