Disappointed, Hard and Narrow
I have purchased the Terrex Swift R boots for years when I was a mail carrier and they lasted better than any other boot walking 9 miles a day...comfortable out of the box with not much "break in" required. I came back to order more to find out that they stopped making them....of course they did.I looked for a upgraded or new version of the Terrex Swift R GTX and seen these...thought I would role the dice. I purchased the boots and the shoe version. Right out of the box I knew I was returning them. Stiff as concrete, the soles are super narrow, The "continental" sole is a joke...Its not even from side to side...forcing your foot to sit crooked...Wanna role your ankle? Get these! You're half way there standing straight. Uneven and Hard as brick. I stuck it on my foot and wow...Like a wood clamp gripping the sides of my feet. Tried to walk, heel slips in the collar...You know thats going to be a hot spot.Toe box - Decent room, not much complaint, length fit as normal, no rubbingCollar - Heel Slips, so too bigSole - I dont know even know what the heck is going on with that thing, hard, narrow, crooked?!Super narrowImagine this...normal toe box, heel to big causing slipping, arch area comically narrow. Thats this boot and the shoe.Coming from buying 4 pair of the Swifts that were nearly perfect, these boots are a joke.Zero stars from me, You lost me on this one Adidas. Sorry.

God's Gift to Trail Runners
These things are written up as a hiking shoe, but they're also excellent for trail running. I've got about 50 miles worth of running miles in them on mud, concrete, dirt, and gravel. They aren't showing any signs of tread loss yet, so they're quite durable. The deep tread gives excellent traction is perfect for the hill and mountain dirt trails that I run. They've also got good support and padding, so I've noticed a decent decline in aches and pains vs my old shoes. They're so good for my purposes that I'm considering buying a couple more just to hold on to for the future. If you're looking for a good set of trail runners, this is it.

My first pair I bought Dec 2020, phenomenal
These shoes cured my plantar fascitis. As an obese woman, I could not wear soft altra shoes anymore so switched to these as I had found them secondhand in a store called Next Adventure store in Oregon, and they fit when I used to wear men's size 11 shoes. I have a wide forefoot and very large toes as well. My feet increased in size, I outgrew my hiking boots before I was done with them, and purchased these in a men's 14. People who have seen my feet do not think I should wear a men's 14, but I have to wear this size. I have a large instep and a wide forefoot and they work for me. I also have found nikes and addidas accomodate my heel shape while other shoe styles like altra cut my heels and leave them bleeding. These really were the perfect shoes for me for my extended walking. I dont ever want to take them off/retire them, even though I have two other brand new addidas terrex shoes, I can't bear to say goodbye to these. As another reviewer said, they were stiff as concrete, and this is absolutely NEEDED for me at 250lbs, otherwise I get plantar fascitis. I bought SOLE leather and cork insoles with my first purchase of these, I think size mens 11 and put them in over the factory insole. If they weren't stiff they would break down and be unwearable. Ive had these since mid december and its close to the end of April and it is time to retire them, unfortunately. I walk four to six miles a day in them every day. I hope the company leaves these wonderful hiking boots exactly as they are for people who need stiff shoes that are high quality and last a long time.

Great Shoe, Better Value
I am embarrassed to admit this but I spend $150+ on a big name brand shoe that looks similar to this shoe. I can’t tell the difference between them when I am wearing them. This is a great shoe that is comfortable and supportive. Thanks foe a great product. Keep up the good work.Brett H

Terrex consistent quality
Lot's of hiking boots to choose from, but the Terrex are so consistent in quality and fit that once you've worn a pair you probably won't want to switch. These boots are high enough to provide ankle support on uneven ground but still light and comfortable enough for everyday use

Nice
First hiking shoe. Bought them for a week long camping trip and they are great. Comfortable and very good construction so far. Usually wear a 11 but ordered 11.5 like others suggest and they fit great.

Excelente compra
Debo admitir que estaba algo escéptico pero cuando llegaron quede satisfecho con la calidad y comodidad y lo mismo al caminar y subir el volcán Imbabura .

Not water resistant
First impressions were these shoes looked good and were a good fit as I chose 1/2 a size up. On my first walk I feet got wet, I’m not a person to complain but it was only splashes from a puddle not wading through water that was breaching the tongue, then I noticed that one of the stripes were loose. Amazon returns were simple and quick and I received a full refund within 2 days. Over the years I’ve bought loads from Amazon and rate the service highly so 5 stars for Amazon and 1 star for the shoes as they look good and delivery was quick.

Good - but slightly tight
My husband usually takes a size 7, but these are a bit tight. He likes them and is keeping them to see if they are better once he wears them in over a couple of weeks. Usually a size 7 Adidas always fits him perfectly, but this is the second time in the last year he has had a pair that are a little tight. I don't know if they are being made somewhere else and the sizing has changed slightly. You may want to consider going up half a size from normal if that is an option.

Buy a size up…
Really great walking shoe with the low-cut gives your ankles plenty of freedom of movement however just like the other reviews GET A SIZE LARGE!! The shoe comes up very small specifically in the 4 foot so for hiking or walking you will need a minimum of one size above your normal I needed 1 1/2 sizes to accommodate decent socks.

Top quality, stylish and durable footwear.
Ordered a half size up because these have narrow toes. Superb, tough, stylish quality product. Other shoes I buy wear heavy on one side of the heal. These are harder rubber that last a lot longer. I have had the gtx version before also top notch. They are also very comfy with plenty of padding in an around the shoe. Very happy.

Great lightweight quality trainers
I bought these for my teenager to wear to school and not have wet feet! They are just as described and have already been tested due to the great English weather. In typical teenager fashion, he was unexcited but has commented that they are comfortable and his feet are dry. Job done!
