The Extra Tall Universal Banister Adapter Kit is a damage free solution to installing baby and pet safety gates on stairs. At 42.2" tall and 1.77" wide, the adapter kit can be used with all Perma Child Safety gates, and most other hardware and pressure mounted gates. Compatible with round and square banisters, this kit is ideal for any home with stairs. Easily mount gates from the banister to the wall, or to install banister-to-banister add two Extra Tall Universal Banister Adapter Kits together. Customize the kit to match your home aesthetic with the option to paint or stain the natural wood adapter and trim excess height. The Extra Tall Universal Banister Adapter Kit includes: 1 natural wood timber adapter, double sided foam tape, 4 zip ties and 4 banister kit screws, 4 screws for gate mounts. One adapter kit is required for each banister post. Gate is not included.

Review: Spiral Stairway Mount Solution - This worked awesome on my round staircase. Used 2 of them and a Perma Child Safety Ultimate Retractable Baby Gate. Painted them black so they wouldn't stand out. They are very sturdy and secure. Googled pilot hole drill size to keep wood from splitting. The gate has a slight wrinkle that I will need to raise the catch side 1/4" to get rid of. The templates that came with the gate were a big help.

This thing is a total waste of money. Terrible wood that split when I installed the screws (into the PRE-DRILLED HOLES), and it didn't even end up fitting our wrought iron bannister. Even if it had fit, I don't recommend this because it's just so cheap. You're better off zip tying your gate to the bannister.
