Fiddly but effective
I got this to cover a sharp broken tooth while I waited for an appointment with my dentist. It's a bit of a fiddle to use, as it doesn't always stick in place, and it takes a bit of trial and error before you get the hang of squeezing a tiny piece into place. I did end up swallowing several pieces accidentally without any ill effects. Once I'd got the technique for using the wax, it very effectively saved my tongue and the inside of my cheek from shredding into a painful mess. You only need a really tiny piece so it lasts a lot longer than you expect. Personally I found the faint mint flavour wasn't very noticeable, but some children are very sensitive to mint so this might not suit everyone. I wish I'd been offered this back in the day when I had braces (I still have the scars).

Brilliant for a broken tooth!
Having broken a tooth on Friday evening by Saturday lunchtime my tongue was very painful underneath at the side where it was in constant contact with a sharp edge. Googling this problem suggested 2 options and so I bought some dental wax which arrived Sunday morning. I couldn’t find this locally and resorted to sugar-free gum for 24 hours. The chewing gum worked as a cushion over the sharp edge but kept falling off any time I moved my tongue, which I apparently do a lot especially if I talk or eat, yawn or cough. The sharp point also worked its way through the chewing gum which was too soft really. So dental wax was applied as soon as possible and it has been wonderful. It has stuck to the tooth properly, even allowing me to eat lunch (mainly on the other side) and talk properly. It hasn’t fallen off all afternoon/evening. It has covered all the sharp edges and not allowed them through. It lessens the sensitivity of the tooth, is comfortable and barely noticeable. Feels slightly as if I have something inside my cheek, which I do, but it’s not annoying and is easily forgotten. There’s no flavour. I know it’s primary use is to cover brace fittings, but it has been fab for a sharp broken tooth edge until I get to see a dentist.

Great for broken tooth
Ordered this to cover the sharp edges of a broken tooth while awaiting dental treatment. It works amazingly well. Its easy to mold and put in place and then firms up well allowing me to eat and drink without pain. It can be removed and remolded a few times before it becomes brittle. Works far better than the softer waxes for this purpose.

just is not worth the price
i just got braces put on and have been relying on wax and ran out of the one the dentist gave me so i ordered this one. my first impression was it’s very rough to mould and crumbles at first once you manage to mould it into a putty consistency it’s very difficult to stick and feels very unstable however there isn’t any sent and is pretty straightforward.
