Really nice case and keyboard - exactly what I was looking for.
Really tough little case and great bluetooth keyboard that pairs effortlessly with an iPad. It’s reasonably lightweight so doesn’t add much more weight to the tablet when travelling, which is exactly what you want. It looks really nice - basically transforms your iPad into a working laptop so perfect for meetings and working whilst on the go.

Easy to use great product
Great product perfect for what I wanted couldn’t make up my mind if I wanted a laptop or a iPad in the end I found this and though ha I’ll have both it’s small about the same weight as a laptop when all put together functions well clear and easy to work out how to use and I’m autistic and struggle with this kind of thing the keys are nice and easy to use it feels just like using a laptop would recommend this to any one

Great value and quality
I love this keyboard as it is very versatile as the iPad can be attached in the traditional laptop way or turned around to act as a stand for the iPad which is welcome to support the weight of the tablet. The Keyboard accuracy is really good, the trackpad isn’t amazing to be honest and is quite slow put is precise at least. I would give 5 stars if the touchpad was a bit smarter with Multitouch but I only paid £35 so I’m very satisfied with the purchase and didn’t want to spend £250 on an Apple Magic Keyboard. The weight of the keyboard does make the iPad feel like a proper laptop and the weight is balanced well with the iPad’s weight so it does not topple over on your knee. I have typed the review sat in bed with it resting on one knee, I can see the keyboard would be very comfortable for a full days use and the keys are spaced nicely. The battery life of the keyboard is very good and probably will only need to be charged once or twice a month from testing I have performed. The case detaches from the keyboard so it can be used totally independently and the keyboard works if the iPad is docked on a stand as the keyboard is Bluetooth. The iPad connects after about 5 seconds every time I switch it on. Only downside on build the power switch feels a little cheap in an other wise very well built keyboard but does function as intended. Overall highly recommend for around the £40 price mark as its not a flimsy fabric case style keyboard that falls over with little movement and feels like it should last for years.

Amazing for the price
Very stylish and make the iPad feel like a laptop, rather than just a keyboard case - much better than others I've tried. It's very easy to pair and use and you only need to pair it once and then it'll automatically connect when it's on. Battery lasts a while, sometimes forget it even needs charging! Touchpad is good - if you're having difficulties or find the speed isn't right, you can adjust it in your iPad settings. I upped the speed a little and it's much closer to how I prefer my trackpad and find the iPads default a little slow. The scrolling wasn't natural at first but once you use it a bit, you get used to it. The touchpad also supports geastures and tap to click. It is well built and sturdy for the price. I can tell it is on the cheaper side compared to the high end versions of this but it doesn't feel cheap at all. The keys are lovely to press and it can hold the iPads weight with ease. It's great even just to be able to set the iPad at whatever angle you like - unlike some of the others that pretty much use the case as a kickstand. I feel it would protect the device still but may scratch and dent easily. A great feature is that it's detachable without having to remove the case so you can use your iPad without the keyboard then easily snap it back on. You are also able to snap it back on the opposite way and fold the iPad and keyboard flat with the screen up. Overall great product in this price range and highly recommend as an alternative to the more expensive options. I think this is great and wouldn't bother even looking at the more expensive options. It does it's job brilliantly!

Good Value for Money
I purchased this because I had upgraded to an IPad Air and primarily needed a new case and I thought this might be useful. I’ve now used this for 3 weeks. The quality is what I would expect at this price point. It’s not Apple so it doesn’t have a premium feel to it, but the keys fit well, no looseness and the trackpad is useful. It is as good as any 3rd party keyboard would be. The ability to easily disconnect the iPad from the keyboard is handy and the battery lasts a long time between charges. The trackpad is functional and works perfectly well, again, not as refined as an Apple one. The only negatives are the extra weight it adds and I find the hinge is rather tight, so sometimes I disconnect to iPad from the keyboard without intending to. Overall I am pleased with the product, it is functional and does what it is required to do and meets the price point I was prepared to pay. If you are looking for a keyboard at a reasonable price this is a good choice.

Excellent 98/100
What a great unit (I'm typing with it right now)! The top part (the housing for the iPad, effectively a rear protector) completely separates from the bottom part (the keyboard) with a strong magnetic coupling, so the iPad can still be used on its own when required, without having to remove it from the housing. The design of the housing still lets the Apple Pencil clip to the iPad edge. The two parts can be clipped together either way around, so the case closes with the iPad screen inside (and automatically turns off), or the screen outside (use as a tablet, but without the keyboard separated). Best of all worlds. The iPad itself is also so much easier to use, just using the keyboard case as a lap stand instead of trying to hold it (especially with the narrow bezel on modern iPads), and use it as a video camera stand too. Even better, if you miss the Home button no longer present on modern iPads, the keyboard provides one on a Fn key. The keyboard feel is excellent, and slightly quieter than my previous one. The trackpad is great too, it makes the iPad fully dual purpose like a laptop – no need to touch the screen if you don't want to. Quibbles are very minor, not worth docking a star for: 1. Fn+P is supposed (according to the instruction leaflet) to perform a screen shot. This did not seem to be working, in fact Fn+P produced a "3". I got in touch with Arteck support, and they went to a lot of trouble to help me work this out, which turns out to be a bug in iOS when you reassign the modifier keys in settings (I switch Cmd and Ctrl so that copy, paste etc are on the usual non-Apple keys!). 2. The battery status is not transmitted to the iPad, so does not appear with the other battery status monitoring, whereas my previous Bluetooth keyboard did. This seems like an oversight. However, it is possible to check the battery status with a keyboard hot-key, and the LED is supposed to flash when the battery is low (I've not seen that yet, there hasn't been time!). 3. It would be BRILLIANT if the top part and bottom part could also be coupled with the iPad in portrait. That's a wish-list thing, worth considering for a future model. An adapter might be the way to do this. As I own a 3D printer, I might have a go myself. 98/100 No idea what the negative reviews are about. Yes it adds weight, of course it does. The other comments sound like a completely different product.

Great Keyboard, But Build Quality and Trackpad Fall Short
This Arteck keyboard case for the iPad Air presents a very handsome and usable keyboard that connects via bluetooth that feels great to type on, offering a good typing experience for its portable form factor. For a complete portable keyboard solution, it's actually surprisingly good value as it is so cheap to buy. One of its standout features is the built-in keyboard battery, which has basically never needed to be recharged—it almost feels like it runs infinitely, maybe requiring a charge only once every three or four months, which is truly remarkable. However, there are significant drawbacks. The trackpad is much too small and noticeably laggy, making it frustrating to use for precise navigation. Furthermore, the housing for the iPad to sit in has snapped over time, meaning it no longer holds the iPad snugly, which compromises its protective function and overall stability. Despite the functional keyboard and excellent battery life, the cheap build quality of the case itself is a clear limitation.

Good quality keyboard by a reputable company. Excellent warranty service! Raising rating to 5 Stars
Update 7/22/2024: This has been a very good keyboard and case with excellent reliability. It rarely needs charging. When I recently required warranty service for a crack in the corner of the case where the camera snaps in, the company was excellent and I had a new case in two days. Update as of 02/24/2023: I have grown to like this case quite a bit overall. I would give it 4 stars for overall appeal and 5 stars for overall quality. The top doesn't slip out of the grooves now except on rare occasions. It might be that things have loosened up a bit and it makes opening and closing the case smoother. The on/off switch is still a pain to use as it often seems to be difficult to slide. Compared to the cases/keyboards that Apple sells, this case is a bargain and I believe that it will outlast them. Apple cases/keyboards are lighter in weight but I have concerns for their long term durability. You might want to read reviews on the Apple cases/keyboards as I was not impressed with comments about their durability after a year or more. I find that a trackpad is not as useful as I thought. Sometimes it gets in the way. Battery life is excellent and the keyboard has held up well with no problems. It has the advantage of being a sturdy case and that comes at the cost of a bit more weight. Original Review I wanted to really like this keyboard. It has many good qualities but also some real drawbacks. Pluses: 1. Excellent quality 2. Keyboard and keys have a great feel and work well. 3. Very nice fit to case and good quality construction as far as materials. 4. Reasonable protection due to strong quality plastic finish. 5. Keyboard is easily detachable for using the iPad on its own in portrait mode. 6. Bluetooth connection seems to work great. 7. iPad glass screen is reasonably well protected from keyboard scratches as there are small compact nibs in each corner of the keyboard. 8. Manufacturer claims a two year warranty and appears to have a good track record. Minuses: 1. This case is heavy with the keyboard attached. It is fine with the keyboard detached but the keyboard itself makes the case very heavy overall. I believe with the iPad Air it weighs about 3 (maybe more?) pounds (although it feels heavier). The somewhat bulky size (with the trackpad) seems to make it feel a bit heavy and clunky. 2. The on-off button on my keyboard (it is located on the outside of the case) is a bit hard to move when turning the keyboard on and off. It is a small switch mostly recessed into the side of the case. It slides to turn keyboard on and off. 3. (As another reviewer has noted), sometimes when opening the case, the iPad slips off the small guides and the magnet doesn't hold the iPad in place to the keyboard. This basically means that the iPad kind of slips out of the track and also your grip. Most times when this happens it comes to rest unattached on the keyboard, however if the keyboard is on your lap or near the edge of a desk or table, the iPad portion of the case could easily hit the deck. Perhaps a little bit stronger magnet or a better hinge system would protect against this. Overall, this is a good quality case with decent functionality and the promise of good manufacturer support. You may want to consider the design of a soft sided keyboard/trackpad case. It may be a few ounces lighter or meet your requirements better.

What more would you need?
If you’re considering getting a keyboard for your iPad, or an alternative to the magic keyboard, then look no further. I’ve been using this case for the last 2 months and these are the things I’ve noticed. I got this product with a coupon so already great bargain. It’s sturdy, its battery lasts long, everything works as it should, and it looks great. None of the keys look worn out and it looks as good as the day I got it. I get comments often saying it looks like a mini macbook. If you have or are planning to get a paper-like screen protector, it might rub against the frame of the keyboard. It doesn’t effect the screen or the functionality of the keys so I personally don’t care and I’ve just covered the parts it rubs against with stickers. It does add some weight, nothing too bad. The touch pad is very responsive and exactly what I needed. Overall, great value for the product, a lot better the the magic keyboard, perfect for students. 4 Month Update: The case is still holding up exactly as my initial review. Something I’d like to add on though is this case’s ability to detach from the keyboard. It you need to have the screen tilted further back, if you plan on writing on the screen it’s simple to just detach the iPad from the keyboard and flip it around. I’d take this over a $200+ floaty keyboard case. The only down side to this case is that the apple pencil is kind of just there. It doesn’t offer any protection to the apple pencil itself but it doesn’t really matter too much to me. Still a great purchase.

Terrific keyboard case!!!!
This ipad case is excellent!! I’ve had a number of other keyboard cases and this one is no heavier than any of those. What’s great about this case is the magnetic attachment which makes it easy to remove the iPad from the keyboard – and when you separate the iPad from the keyboard the keyboard still functions because of the bluetooth connection!! I didn’t think I’d like or use the trackpad but it’s an amazing feature and easy to use once you read the instructions and understand what it can do. I had to go to the settings and increase the speed of the trackpad movement but once I did that it was fast and smooth. The best thing of all (at least for me) is the material and finish of the case because it doesn’t show finger smudges and it’s easy to clean. I specifically bought this item to replace a rubber finish case that showed every finger smudge and was impossible to clean – I use a lot of hand cream and my old black case always looked horrible. The price of this case is less than similar ones because it doesn’t have keys that light up, a feature I don’t want and am happy not to pay for. The case fits my iPad Air 5, 2022 perfectly. I’m extremely pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

Very nice case!
This case is heavy haha. I thought it was a brick when I got the package. It’s as heavy as a small laptop. But the cool thing is that the case can be detached and held in hand as a tablet (10x lighter than the keyboard part). The keypads feel nice and tactile. The mousepad works great and the Bluetooth connectivity is simple and easy just by using the shortcut key “fn+delete” and it will activate the Bluetooth for you to connect. It’s a solid purchase and way better than buying Apple’s version of this keyboard case. The built quality is plastic that may be brittle if dropped. So recommend not dropping this keyboard case or you might break something.
