Quality is good, utility not as much
Summary: solid quality portfolio, looks professional, and several section are well designed. Many of the sections have considerably less usable space than it seems, and some are mutually exclusive as a result. Overall, better for looks than functionality. This is a solid portfolio, seems sturdy; I don't foresee any problems there. I will not need the 3-ring binder, so I took it out. The case is comfortable in size, and fits well into a full-size messenger bag or backpack. On the right side: The notebook holder on the right side is good for an 8.5x11" legal pad. It also has an elastic loop to the right, suitable for a larger pen or a highlighter. I can fit a pen 0.5" in diameter here (but not in the pen holders on the other side). There is a pocket under the notebook holder (Letter size comfortably, A4 maybe), but it is very snug, as most of the other compartments. I can see putting a thin paper folder here, or perhaps a few brochures, but not much else. Not for unprotected paper. On the left side: this is where it gets less practical. The ID/business card holders are very snug. This is good to hold things in place, but this also limits how many cards you can fit, and their dimensions. At most, you could use this section for 2.5x3.5" business cards. You can squeeze in about 10 glossy ones, but probably not into all of the 5 available sections. I imagine they will see some wear-and-tear, particularly on corners, if you stack multiple ones.Small zippered pocket: again, very snug, basically flat. Although it measures about 7x4" externally, I can barely fit a 5x2.5" cell phone in a 0.5" thick case. There is an un-zippered pocket underneath the small zippered one, but again, a tight fit. I can't see using both of them at the same time. I was hoping to use one of these for a calculator. An HP 10bII+ fits in the un-zippered pocket, barely; a TI BA II Plus will not, at least not in a way I would consider safe.Large zippered pocket: you guessed it – tight fit. You could fit a smaller-size tablet in here. I have a 5x7.5" e-reader, with a 0.5" thick case; this fits decently well, but there is a bulge due to how tight this pocket is.The dual pen holders: good for about 0.25" diameter pen. If you have anything thicker, these are not elastic, and may not fit, at least not in any practical way: you are liable to look silly trying to take it out.Behind on the left side is a pocket for a tablet or small laptop. I can fit a 12" laptop (measures 12"x 8") very nicely; mine is 0.75" thick, but I imagine up to 1" would fit well. That is, unless you are using the large zippered pocket for a tablet or an e-reader as I described above. In that case, it is, once again, a very tight fit. The laptop/tablet pocket has a separator, presumably if you have a small laptop and a full-size tablet, but you most certainly could not use all three. Not much wiggle room even here.Once you've filled all that space, how much is left? With a notebook inserted on the right, and a laptop on the left – no additional tablets, phones, or calculators – you can have another 50-sheet writing pad loosely held inside without the case stretching / bulging when closed. I imagine that is also the soft limit of interior capacity when the 3-ring binder option is in use.

Poorly designed. Pass on this portfolio.
Take a pass on this folio. It is poorly designed and not up to a modern user.Pros:- Nice soft case. It looks good at first.- Easy to operate 3 ring- Zipper to keep it all togetherCons:- The left side of the folio is overly designed and packed with compartments. This means that it has more material, is thicker and less room to actually store things.- Left side does NOT give enough room to store important documents nice and flat. It is way too tight. It also raises the paper close to the zipper, so you could damage your own papers when closing the folio.- I wanted a folio that would keep my ipad pro secure. I show my ipad in the attached photo for size reference... so it would seem that it should fit in the left compartment... but because of the undersized & raised pocket, there is no room to fit the ipad pro... or even the previously named paper documents. This is just really poor design and unacceptable.- I included a picture on the inside of the pocket to show how the tablet compartment is offset into the folio. This might sound like a good idea, but modern tablets are getting larger, so they will NOT fit inside this portfolio case. If you have an older tablet, it might fit.- The pen loops are undersized (see photo). Neither a standard Uni-ball or Pentel Energel pen will fit in the loops. This is a major problem that the most popular pens, can't be stored in this folio.I would NOT recommend this portfolio case to anyone. It is poorly designed all around and you will be disappointed.

Quality construction but not so great engineering
It does seem to be made of quality material. However as others have noted, the pockets and storage are pretty tight. It is also fairly heavy, (which I guess attests to it's quality) so it might be tiring if you are carrying it around a lot, which I plan to do. Overall I like it but I didn't need the zipper closure. Just a snap or magnetic closure would have been good enough as I don't plan on keeping my tablet or phone in it. I will keep it and I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually.

Good product.
Got this to replace my 20 year old binder. It’s great. Some of the compartments a bit over promising and underdelivering as far as space, but this product has everything to make a long lasting and usable portfolio. I really like the fact that my iPad Pro 11 fits in perfectly along with my full sized iPhone, my loose leaf binder calendar, pens, change, and other small items. Made from good materials. I removed the paper pad and that gives me a bit more room when zipping it up.

Fantastic!
If you're a BOSS and you need to keep your life organized and together, or you're a student, or an event planner, whatever you are, this folder is perfecto. It has soooo many pockets and compartments. a three ring binder clip, and it zips shut. So you can toss your pens in there and close the whole thing. It is a bit bulky though. It barely fits in my backpack. But not a big complaint.

So far so good plenty of space for storage
So far I like it! The only thing I would change is, I would make the Interior zippers magnetic. This way you don't have to fight to close it, and if you leave some papers on top of note pad the zippers won't holes with the zippers tab
