Nice guitar
Very nice guitar for the money. Have noticed the middle pick up very weak which cause volume control issues using the 5 way switch. Ibanez really need to get this figured out, noticed the humbuckers are ceramic and the middle pick up an alinco...not a smart volume match at all. I have been unable with varied pick up height adjustment to correct this, it's a total mismatch by ibanez. The Floyd Rose is a great option, stays in tune like no other guitar i ever used. The humbuckers are strong with plenty of bite, not too dark, fairly good tones that work for me. The neck is fast wide and flat, which makes Barre chords and all chords easier to play. As far as using the 3 middle positions on the 5 way switch...be ready to roll the volume up...pain in the arse. Over all a great axe for the money, you can do dives all day and it stays in tune.

Awesome first guitar
First new electric guitar and one very happy guitar player. There are a lot of guitars out there but I really love this RG450DX as a beginner guitar. I previously owned an old hand-me-down low end guitar and was really frustrated with it. I decided to buy a new guitar put some cash into something that looked good and was a step up from a starter guitar because like with other hobbies I've had, after a couple of months owning a starter model, I realized that I should of put a little more money down on something that would carry me a lot further down the road. They always say, "If it looks really nice and it sounds great then you are more likely to pick it up on sight and start practicing". This is very true for me. I picked up this model because I really enjoy playing metal; hard and fast. The neck is nice and thin which helps me because I don't have big hands nor do I have long fingers. The jumbo frets have been great at securing the notes I want with out too much pressure. And it stayin in tune for a long time. What more could a beginner ask for?

Poor quality control
Box was intact, but guitar was broken. One of the knobs on the body was damaged and the face of the guitar around the knob was smashed in.

I’m shocked! I would put this up against any guitar.
I’m shocked at the quality of this guitar for the price. It looks beautiful, feels amazing in my hands and plays so easy. The playability is so good and much better than more expensive guitars of other brands. I wish I had bought one of these 20+ years ago. It stays in tune very well, feels solid and it’s very easy to bend notes which is very good if you have arthritis or your hands aren’t very strong. It’s easy to play lightning fast tapping, sweeping and legato licks with this guitar. The neck feels very nice and comfortable in my medium sized hands. It’s faster and more playable than both a Les Paul and Stratocaster neck. I think I could play it for hours without straining my hands. I briefly owned a Charvel so cal which costs more than twice as much but it doesn’t feel or play nearly as good as this guitar. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:9-10.

Ibanez RG450DX RG Series Electric Guitar Starlight Blue
I use to have a Gibson SG Standard that I sold while in college and for several years I have an inexpensive Made-in-China Fender Strat. It is fine for practice guitar, but I have always been wanting something better and just didn't want to spend a lot since I don't play professionally. My last birthday my wife convinced me to choose any guitar, so I started looking for the best guitar at the best price. I am not disappointed. This Ibanez plays like a dream. It sounds much better than the Fender and it holds tune better than any guitar I've ever used. Love the Quantum pickups and locking nut. Only thing they could improve on is the fret finishing. Not a big deal for someone that doesn't mind taking a little time with a few simple tools to make them good.

Practice on this
Pickups are not those advertised in the pictures others have mentioned this. The fine tuners on the Floyd trem appear less than optimum, especially over the G. Other that this its a beautiful colour and perfect as a shred or training guitar. It is accurately priced , for a pia or something more expensive you would obviously return it for assumed Ibenez perfection .

Great first Guitar
I got this for Christmas. Arrived well packaged in a double box without any damage. Learning Guitar has been on my bucket list for a long time. Easy to tune if you loosen the nut locks. It came almost in tune, and just needs a little intonation adjustment. Action is a little high, but it is easily adjustable with the floating Tremolo block. Go to the ibanez website, and down load all the manuals. It just comes with the safety information. There are instructions for the DL bridge, and general care instructions.
