I used this butyl sealant tape for an automotive sealing project and it worked exactly how I needed it to. The tape is flexible, easy to shape, and creates a strong seal without being difficult to work with. It has good adhesion and stayed in place after installation. I like that it can fill gaps and help keep moisture out, which is important for vehicle repairs. The material feels high quality and much easier to use than messy liquid sealants. This is a useful product to have on hand for automotive and general sealing jobs, and I would buy it again.

An amazing thing! I used it to reduce rattling in my Cadillac CT5 - to seal the rattling plastic clips holding the interior panels (saw this on YouTube) - and this thing is amazing - viscous enough but not too solid. And also somehow doesn't stick to my fingers - extremely pleasant to work with! (though I didi get it into my hair - yeah that was a challenge to take out).

The strip was wider than I thought it would be so I had to cut it down to 3/8 inch width. I was making a new double glass pane and it did as promised. The butyl tape was soft enough to spread over the edges of the glass with a spatula. Much easier to handle than the tube type. I will next use it to replace the old butyl rubber on the plastic liner inside my truck doors.

I bought this to seal the third breaklight and chrome strip on my 18 year old Mercedes E-Class to stop a truck leak. There are many things love about product. Firstly the permanent tackiness - it never sets hard so remains malleable in hot or cold conditions and is easy to remove when necessary. It can be stretched out thinly for fine areas such as my third breaklight - too thick and the light simply would not click fit as it should. A little thicker for the second skin of the chrome strip and no more trunk leak! Very happy!

I bought this to seal the windshield in the zenith 750 heavy duty airplane I just finished. This was just the stuff to keep air and water from getting in. I think it’s going to work just fine. I used a razor blade to make the diameter of the roll about half to get it where it needed to go. It seems to have good adhesion to steel and plexiglass, and was very soft and flexible to male installation very easy. I’m flying the time off on the Zenith now. It was a lot of fun to build. Flying the time off means that the faa will let you fly it only 50 miles or so, or carry passengers until you get 20 or 40 hours of flying in, depending on the airplane
