However, It’s thick and a little hard to apply. I use a lighter oils for the outside of my weapon. I used this oil mainly for shotgun chokes and other areas that have either fine threads or get a lot of action. **Q: Is this recommend for folding knives? Especially those with ball bearing washers?** A: I use it on my 1911’s and all steel guns. It’s pretty much like motor oil so it’s runny and it’ll drip like “3in1” oil would. It’s a great lubricant and easy to apply to tight spaces like in a folding blade. **Q: What is the needle length?** A: Looks like a little less than than an inch? Never measured it. Long enough to reach those hard areas but short enough to maneuver around when oiling rails. **Q: Can I use this on guns I plan on storing for a couple months** A: Yes it can be used for that it's good stuff I have multiple bottles as long as it's not stored in a super wet or humid area if it will be subject to harsh Temps i would use the lucas gun greese instead.
