Better than almost any hotel pillow and it will be good for car travel and camping. I got it specifically to place between my knees when side sleeping to decrease pressure on my lumbar vertebrae. I find this shape works well for me for that purpose. It comes with its own little pillowcase, and also a travel bag. I haven’t tried to repack it into the bag but I think it will be difficult if not almost impossible to do. It really doesn’t compress easily and the opening in the travel case/bag is not large enough to allow for the pillow to be stuffed in the case without a struggle. I’m not really planning on using the case anyway, so I really don’t care.
