Really durable for bad grinding!
I grind my teeth REALLY badly, and previously the only mouth guards that lasted more than a week were the mega expensive dentist ones. This is the first non-dentist one I’ve tried that is actually durable for bad grinding. My first one lasted 3 months BUT my dog chewed it which is why I replaced it, so not sure how long it would actually last yet 😂The moulding process was nice and easy, the holder thing makes it especially easy to do. I find it really comfortable to wear and not too bulky, but I’m quite used to wearing mouth guards.Super impressed with how strong this is for the price!

Very difficult to get a good deep impression
I followed the clear and specific guidelines to the letter but the result was a cumbersome and loose fitting tooth shield. Very bulky and uncomforatble in the mouth and I think it would easily slip out at night. I have neuralgia and bruxism and my dentist fitted shield is so much better – it fits perfectly, has room for my tongue and snaps easily in and out of place. Unfortunately it is just a bit worn after many years of use so I thought I would try a DIY version and save some money. However the saving is a false economy. My advice to anyone thinking of buying this particular gumshield is DON'T. Get one fitted by your dentist. I hate leaving bad reviews but on this occassion I felt that it was necessary especially as a refund may not be possible with this product.

Well designed product that really does work - for a budget price.
I was skeptical about anything so cheap possibly working well enough to not feel I'd wasted money, but I chose this product over similar in the budget price range (£9-£35), and avoided the thick sports style shield because I know from my rugby days that these don't shape very well and are bulky. Beware the cheap ones that have pictures showing a neat & well fitted shield but also has pics with conflicting images - you don't know which item will be delivered (but I think we can guess). This product has a fitting guide piece that is an integral part of the process, and it makes a massive difference to the resulting shield. It really does give a molded fit - I have uneven teeth and gaps so it's obvious if the shield doesn't get into place. The initial fit process is as simple as any of the others, but instantly felt better and more molded to my teeth without lots of spare material sticking out. It's also much slimmer than the cheap sports guards which are like having a boxing glove in your mouth. The instructions stated 25 seconds in hot water but there was an addendum stating it should be 12 seconds. I followed the revised instructions and got a really good fit first time. I redid the process because I'd not clenched my teeth quite right the first time, but that was only because my expectation was that it wouldn't do such a good job. Second time around was even better. I'm tempted to buy another to make a single pass molding (and I wouldn't spend an extra £15 if I didn't think it would make it even better.I use mine on my lower teeth and the only issues I've had are adjusting to having something in my mouth as I fall asleep (don't snigger), and more significantly, a lot of salivating to begin with. Neither is an issue with the product, just me adjusting to a new routine.I expected to find it awkward & ineffective for a few nights so I was amazed when I woke the first morning and could tell I hadn't been clenching as much - or if I had, the material had absorbed most of the tension. My jaw was less painful and my regular wake up headache was way down the pain scale. I forgot to use it the second night and felt the difference when I woke. I can now tell a clear change between using it and forgetting it at night. I still have TMJ disorder, but I've had that my whole life so nothing short of surgery will change that, but the associated symptoms have decreased and improved my sleep - my fitbit score has gone from low-mid %70s up to low-mid 80s in under a week.I just spent half an hour looking for another brand to try, but this is the only one I can find that has the fitting piece, and I can't imagine ever buying another 'regular' one again. I may check with my dentist about how much a 'professional' one will cost me, but at £15 I can probably keep replacing this one for quite some time before the costs match up, and in the meantime I don't need to worry if it only lasts a few months: 10 per year will still work out cheaper than the dentist, and because it actually does the job, I'm not sacrificing my comfort for the pennies.Well designed product that really does the job, at a budget price. Thank you.

Very happy
I purchased this as I clench my jaw in my sleep which causes alot of pain during the day, I saw an improvement in my pain after only wearing it for one night. Was very easy to mold to my teeth, fits in comfortably, I've gotten used to wearing it now and don't feel it in my mouth.

Did what it was supposed to do
I found that once moulded it worked well. The box was useless though, it didn't close properly and the guard fell out occasionally. My dog ended up chewing it going to order another 😂

Excellent
I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome and TMJ, I jaw clench in my sleep and often dislocate my jaw in my sleep also. I’ve tried many many heat mould guards, and in comparison to this one, they haven’t even come close. The easy fitting tray makes the guard sit comfortably, it doesn’t shift around or have any bulky edges that many alternatives leave you with. Best product I’ve found so far, and I’m just about to order a couple more to have as standby incase I loose this one!

Can't recommend after long-term use
Updated March 2025.I've had 5 of these mouthguard since February 2024, 2 of which being replacements from OPRO, they only last a few months at best. They all seem to split from the rear on both sides.I've had a dentist made mouthguard before and this is pretty similar at a more reasonable price. Not sure about longevity yet, however it's holding up ok so far. The moulding process was fairly straightforward as per the instructions and the guard does seem to stay in all night without falling out. The case and mouthguard itself are presented well and it does appear to be a reputable brand in this field.
