As a Pre-K teacher, I am always looking for high-quality STEAM toys that can withstand heavy use. This PicassoTiles tubular pipe set has been a fantastic addition to our classroom and is used daily by my 3-5 year olds. It is very durable and holds up well to constant building and deconstructing. My students love the unique shapes, though I did decide to remove the "flute" pieces from the set. In a classroom of 20 children, the noise level from the whistles became a bit too much, and I also wanted to avoid the spread of germs from students sharing pieces they put their mouths on. Even without those parts, the set is excellent for developing fine motor skills and creative problem-solving. Highly recommend for any early childhood setting or home!

My sons love it. They spend hours playing with it, creating new figures. They develop their imagination. I like that they can build instruments and see how the sound is different when they add more or less pieces. Super good toy that keeps them occupied. It is very useful that it comes with this sturdy plastic box, where they can store the pieces (provided they are willing to dismantle the creations).

I have nothing but great things to say about this toy! My son plays with this toy every single day and it’s such a great toy for creativity! It’s so fun because there are also whistles in it and my son learned out to use it with this toy. The tiles are easy to put together and you get a great amount of them in the box too.

My son loves it! We just had a new baby and I was looking for screen-free activities to keep my 2 y/o occupied while I feed and attend to his new little brother. This has really delivered! I love that it is open-ended but also comes with a booklet of ideas of things to build. He will sit and tinker with it for long periods of time, he uses his imagination, and it’s great for fine motor skills. I highly recommend!

4 stars because the mouth pieces of this set are whistles, rather than horn or trumpet-type mouthpieces. Otherwise, a fun little set. Also, I was hoping this might double as a marble run or be fun for water play, but the curved and "t" pieces have a sort of structural block inside that makes it impossible for marbles and significantly obstructs the flow of water. Since those aren't the advertised uses, my rating doesn't reflect that, but still a bummer. Overall, these are easy to assemble and take apart. They are very durable, and I appreciate that they come with their own container for storage.

These are great for tiny hands. We got them for my at the time 19 month old and at almost 21 months she has played with them nearly every day since she's gotten them. I play along too and have a fun time. They are made well, the wheels actually work too. We don't use the mouth pieces thus far as she isn't keen on the sound so far. Also comes in a nice storage box with handle. May buy for some 2 year old birthdays coming up in the next few months.

My Husband and I babysit our 6 yr old Grandson and he has us wrapped around each of his little fingers. We have tried to find a building kit that would challenge him and keep his interest for more than a few minutes. The "PicassoTiles PTT136 136pcs Tubular Pipes & Spout" have been the answer. He LOVES these and has played with them every day for the last 2 months. He builds anything his imagination thinks of. The first thing he built was a diesel truck with dual smoke stacks and a flatbed. The pieces in this set have been very well planned. There hasn't been a single frustration because each piece was made for a child's imagination. He has built trumpets, lasers, harps, light sabers and much more. This was money very well spent. We are all of us very pleased with this set!

This is the perfect toy for a toddler, and a lot more versatile and frustration free than other building manipulatives like duplo or magnatiles. These tubes are big ( no choking hazard), easy to connect together, and easy to take apart. The creations stay together during play ( unlike duplo) and a toddler is easily able to build in any direction without adult help to stabilize the structure ( unlike magnatiles). The only improvement would be if this toy came with step by step building instructions to make different models. There is a booklet included but it is more for inspiration than for actual building, as it only shows the completed model. Overall, this is an extremely high quality and well made toy that any 2+ toddler will love.
