A story about trying even when afraid
I loved this story about facing fears and trying. I also really like that Lou may have finally tried to climb the tree to join her friends, but she didn't magically succeed the first time. As a teacher, I feel this book has a strong, valuable message about trying and growth mindset. I read this story to my 1st grade students, and they really enjoyed it.

Inspirational read for any age
An excellent book with diverse characters that reminds children, it's okay to be scared, it's okay not to succeed and it's okay to always try again. With the support and encouragement of her friends, Lou takes on a challenge that scares her and that she really doesn't want to do. When she tires, she realizes she can't and feels okay with the fact that she can always try again later. Inspirational read for any age!

Love Lou
I bought this book because my daughter’s name is Lucie and we call her Lou as a nickname. This book is very cute and, even though a bit longer than what she’s use to, keeps her attention. Love the pictures also!
