Q: Anyone know the difference between the Tru Glow home defense fiber optic and this one the Tru Glo-dot II???

I'm not really sure. I'm guessing for home defense it would be more visible. But the one I have is just fine its red you can see better then the stock beed sights that came in my mossberg 500. And with a 12 Guage you don't need to be accurate just point it where you wanna shoot an fire. And like me if you going to put a light on it, it doesn't really matter which you 1 you put. It's all on your preferences

Q: When I bought my shotgun the bead was missing. Is it necessary to have a bead for this to stay in place?

I'm using mine for a 12 gauge and it fits snug it wouldn't move easy but if bumped it would be possible the bead does give more stability and helps with alignment.With a 12 Ga. you could make it work, can't speak to a 20 Ga. as I don't have one.

Q: Will it work on the Akkar Churchill 612 pump shotgun?

This ought to fit any 12 gauge barrel that is not ribbed.

Q: will it fit the tarus judge public defender?

Probably not, it is made to snap over a round barrel. After looking at photos of the public defender it does not look compatible. If your barrel is not railed you could cut it to size. If your barrel is railed there are other options.
