When mixed as directed and lightly thinned with MEK, the resin easily penetrated dry rot within an 8 x 8 beam and also deeply penetrated the adjoining solid wood mass to form a complete and integrated beam again. When fully cured the result was even better than expected. The resin-imbedded wood withstands incredible compression and increases tensile strength. The treated wood has a scratch-resistant surface and is waterproof and insect resistant to stop future degrading. Saved immense time on having to replace wood. I'd even use this product as a preventative measure with wood in vulnerable situations such as sill plates and ground contact areas.

Used this to repair rotten wood on my boats engine hatch. It is not solid as a rock. It really penetrated the wood. I did thin it for more penetration and it worked great. Very good stuff. Follow directions and you can’t fail.

I bought a 1959 Lyman lapstrake wood boat this fall. Checking out the planks and ribs, I could find no rotted wood or broken parts. Still, the exterior of wood can be solid while where wood is joined, there can be rot between the two parts. So I cleaned the below the waterline wood inside, followed the directions exactly as specified by Total Boat, and applied an even coating of the epoxy. The next day I was somewhat concerned that the coating was still tacky. I waited a couple of days and checked again. Now very solid and not tacky in the least. I believe the use of this product, applied to interior and exterior, then 3M 5200 adhesive caulk, could add decades to most any wood boats hull. Thanks Total Boat!

Works really well- be sure to follow directions exactly. I bought this epoxy to repair the sun deck transom pad on my 2000 bow rider. the wood became dry rotted at the hinges and was dry and crumbly. I bought the cold weather formula as i was using it in 45-60 degree weather. Its critical to follow the directions as if you get the mix wrong it will not cure properly. Keep in mind this will not be a quick cure- it takes about 24-36 hours to have it cure to the point where you can handle it, so you need to plan accordingly. once it cured i then followed up on the repair with PC 11 marine epoxy to fill the rotted out screw holes. The product works as advertised, but you need patience with it.

Kind of a gross story, but when I bought my new house and started renovating it, I discovered that the previous owners' dogs had peed all over the floor for years and it had soaked into the subfloor, which was particle board. I replaced the worst spots, but I just didn't have the money to replace everything. The particle board in the pee-spots was unstable and smelled terrible. I tried various things to get rid of the stink, but eventually had the idea of using penetrating epoxy on the spots to encapsulate the stank and re-stabilize the particle board. This epoxy is thicker than penetrating epoxy I've used in the past, so I did end up needing twice what I thought I would, but I'm happy to say that it worked perfectly! The thickness of the epoxy ended up helping, and it didn't have the same awful chemical smell of other penetrating epoxies I've used. Ultimately it saved me from having to replace my entire floor and got rid of the stench exactly as I was hoping!

if you've used one-part wood hardener, stop immediately and order this. it penetrates and the wood becomes rock hard after it cures (even if it started out soggy). Make sure you get a mixing cup that is chemical proof and has marks for pouring the right ratio. if the ratio's off, it won't work well. I find it easier to pour directly into a cup then mix and go, if I try pouring into a measuring cup then pouring into a final mixing cup, this stuff sticks to the wall of the measuring cup.use coarse paint brushes to apply and wear gloves!

Not as good as other products. Does not cure as it should,
