These pens are really great and comfortable to write with. The ink is very pretty and is very close to the exterior pen color so you get what you see. The pens write smoothly on most surfaces but the ink tends to cut out when writing for a long period of time or when writing on a single piece of paper so place a few extra pages underneath.

I use these on my Campus and Kukuyo Japanese stationary spiral notebooks, also available on Amazon. They are a dream pair to write with. For those of us who enjoy good pens, good stationary and the feeling of writing itself, this particular combination of products has been quite enjoyable. It does take a moment to dry down, but then all pens of this manner do, so my lefties friends be aware of that, it will smear even on good paper. Dry time isn’t something that I find to be an issue. All pens wrote as soon as the fed sealing wax ball was removed. I have a lot of pens, but I find myself reaching for these as they just write so well. No skipping, no waiting for the ink to flow or hoping it still writes. Though all pens write in black ink, the colors of the barrel are fun with their over look, and their colors cheer me up to use them on dreary, rainy days. I find myself making excuses to use them.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I thought I would like them I love different writing pens these were good smooth writing although I put it in my pocketbook and it blowup and ink went all over that little pocket. Luckily I had it in the ink pocket in my pocketbook and not all over

The pens are great but I didn't give it 4 stars because what is pictured in assorted is not what you get. I did not want brown ink pens.
