Panasonic DE-A65BA Battery Charger for DMW-BCG10 (Camera Models: ZR1, ZR3, ZS1, ZS3, ZS5, ZS6, ZS7, ZS8, ZS10)

I purchased this little AC wall charger to use with my recently purchased Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS25 digital camera. Many owners of this same camera love the camera but, dislike the fact that it does not come with an AC battery wall charger. One must charge the battery while it is in the camera by using either a usb hooked up to your computer or plugging the camera into an AC wall outlet while the battery remains in the camera. This is fine but, I purchased two additional batteries for this camera--the Panasonic DMW-BGC10, which work perfectly with this AC wall charger and my Lumix DMC ZS25. This wall charger, along with the two extra batteries and an upgraded Sandisk 32GB SD card allows me to shoot not only thousands of photos (if I wanted to) but, more importantly to shoot an enormous amount of HD video without having to be concerned about running out of battery "juice". I did all this because I travel abroad extensively and with this set up I am able to shoot videos for a number of days before I have to recharge the batteries or download my videos. This charger works great with the above mentioned battery.

Works well. Takes much less time than the plug in that came with the camera. Plus with this charger, you may charge more than one battery instead of having a run down battery just when you need one instead of only haveing one battery.

DOES NOT PLUG DIRECTLY INTO THE WALL! There is a long cord and one of the reviewers said this was the charger with the plug as part of the unit. You still have to have a cord with this product! My camera came with a charger that had a cord, and I just wanted something I could throw in my purse or suitcase. Returned this charger.

The out-of-the-box charging solution for the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS15 is to use the included proprietary USB cable and a laptop. Well, let me tell you that's an awesome solution if you have all day to wait around for the battery to recharge. And besides, in this day and age of tablets and smartphones, who lugs around a laptop to faraway places? So Panasonic's planner's goofed. That does not take away from the fact this charger is just awesome. The charger is small, compact, and charges the LUMIX DMC-ZS-15's battery in a reasonable amount of time. Build quality of the charger is totally awesome. So leave the snickers of your safari buddies behind and buy this thing.

Work's great! I highly recommend it. The only downside is that you'll need one of those wide outlet strips or it will take up three outlets if you use the normal outlet strips. I suppose you can get around it by getting an extension cord.

PRO: It's a genuine Panasonic charger and fits the battery for my DMC-ZS19 camera perfectly, and it was in new condition.CON: Unlike the charger that comes with the DMC-FZ100 where the power plug flips down from the charger, this thing needs a standalone cord - which DID NOT come with the unit. Had I known that, I would not have bothered to purchase this as it's useless without it. You'd probably be better off with a knockoff charger that includes power to the charger itself.

I ordered this item to replace my original...missplaced, I guess. The advertised product said 'New'. What I received was a used, scratched and dented item.The only reason I gave them a second star was because the item actually worked. If the price looks too good to be true, it probably is.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!!

Be aware that while this appears to be a genuine Panasonic Charger, it will come in a brown envelope, and inside is the charger in just clear plastic. It looks like some sort of OEM pack (or pulls?). I compared it with a charger that I knew to be genuine and it appears identical. It looks brand new.I charged 5 batteries right away, no issues. For $22 its a bargain.
