Certainly helps while outdoors in the heat. The hat is a bit snug on my head, but I have an unusually large head so I would say for 90 percent of people this item will fit with no problem. The rear sun screen is thick but not very heavy and large enough to come down and protect my neck and shoulders. I have not used the front mesh face protector outdoors. I have placed it on the cap and it is easy to breath through and gives you plenty of room to see I have just never had need for it because the brim is so large that the sun does not usually hit my face. I love to be outside but I take some medicines that cause me to burn easily in the sun so this will help. The insert for your head itself is made of both cloth and mesh so your head can breath and the brim is good and sturdy. I am rather pleased that I chose to purchase this.

I do a bit of yardwork in my time and I noticed my neighbor have one of these hats on and I started to think that maybe I should have something other than a baseball cap to help protect my skin when I’m outside. The wide brim and back neck cover are absolutely great. Easy to wash and maintain and I can go outside in the sun with no worries!

With so many mixed reviews I didn’t quite know what to expect. All I knew was that I wanted everything the ad promised. I am so thankful that the hat is everything I needed it to be. All parts arrived and fit together perfectly with the end product being a great hat that is cool, lightweight, protective and well made - not to mention cost efficient. I plan tp buy two more. My husband wears his for yard work. I plan to wear mine for yard work and for afternoon walks that are hotter than usual. Sometimes you just have to buy a product and see for yourself. Glad I did!

To start off with. My first reaction when I received it. I thought it was cheap and flimsy. Because treads were showing. Hat is very light and came with no instructions. But none the less, I LOVE IT!!! I would highly recommend this hat if you work outdoors. Weather your fishing, or doing yard work. It just works! I love that it’s light and comfortable and because it’s light it keeps you cool. For the price you really can’t beat it. I’m a pool technician. I would recommend it to help protect your face from the sun. The only other thing I will say. I have a small head so it fits me a little big. But so recommend this product!

The hat is really poor quality and the sun protection for your neck isn't even attached to the hat. Really disappointed.

Using it for Duck Hunting....

I liked that it was packable what I didn't like is that is was cheaply made.
