My cyst burst yesterday, package comes today. I decided to use it in case there was anything lingering. Haha I take the liner out of the packet, I'm pleasantly surprised it's not cheap or flimsy, strong and thick, nice job. I take the sticky tabs off and stick it to the toilet and fill it with hot water...hmm too hot, well now. So I unstick one edge and let it drain out the holes for the water to escape (the designer was really thinking here) then I add some lukewarm water and the seasoning lol I mean salt packet, just kidding folks! Okay so we are ready now, took me a couple of mins of adjusting to find the proper position to make sure the undercarriage was properly covered. However after that i just sat there for about 20 minutes, kind of bored, I'm not really used to just sitting. So now I have to clean up my mess. Mind you I was a little itchy and uncomfortable today. However after using this product I feel clean as a whistle! No irritation or itchiness and im pretty sure the swelling has gone down as well. As it says, the folded disposable sitz bath fits right onto the commode and stays put in place with its sticky wings, allows a generous amount of water warm/cool to soak your bottom. It is disposable hence no washing no storing! And the best part is yet to come. It comes with handy salt pouches with various essential oils. It smells so good, is very soothing and pain relieving. I used to take sitz bath twice a day, sometimes at my office too. It really helped ease my pain and heal my abscess that I got in the least expected and the most sensitive part of my body. Eight won’t be enough. The pain relief is worth the $35. I like that the little bath itself is disposable. No storing, or disinfecting. The salts themselves smell good and are very soothing. I recommend hot water. Not so hot that you scald yourself, just as hot as you can stand. The heat also heals by increasing blood circulation and is very soothing in itself. I’m a bigger lady and sat sideways on the toilet for better coverage. I’ve never experienced a Bartholin cyst before, and like most of us did an extensive google search lol. The last thing I want is the have this thing lanced, drained, and stuffed with gauze. Hopefully this bath not only reduces the pain, but drains it.
