Hard to decide! Buy Both!
The photos show the 2 grabbers that I purchased yesterday from Amazon Prime. The Pikstik is an exact replacement for the one I have had for many years now. The folding one I bought from Amazon Prime as well. I drive a mobility scooter and I have had the Pikstik unit secured across the top of the tiller and would perfectly set behind my 2 rear view mirrors and secured with 2 small clips. When I would spot something that would be a road hazard to cars by getting picked up by a moving vehicle and shot into a passing vehicle or a vehicle following it, I would swoop in and grab the object off the street and then place it off the road or if small enough I would toss it into the trash bag that I carry with me. I use the grabber almost every time I take the scooter out for a ride. I also have a 30โ extension magnet for the metal objects that I find in the road like lug nuts, screws, nails, construction staples, hubcaps and items that I donโt know what they are. As a retired Army veteran, I used to be a helicopter mechanic and crew chief on Hueyโs and unfortunately I was involved in an incident where a piece of metal was picked up and thrown into my tail rotor as the pilot lifted off the tarmac. The object destroyed the tail rotor causing the craft to spin out of control and the pilot had to slam us down HARD which caused horrific damage and injury to the pilot. I was lucky enough to only sustain minor injury. The one BIG rule that was always talked about was F. O. D. (Foreign Object Damage). Any object that is on the ground is a potential hazard to any aircraft so major attention is focused on making sure that no FOD is on the tarmac. The same applies to roads and streets and anywhere that vehicles travel. An object can be picked up by the tread of a vehicle and either right then or maybe later when that vehicle is on the highway or freeway and has enough speed going that the object stuck in the tread of the tire suddenly lets go of it. This object can and does catapult out from the tire and can easily damage a vehicle that happens to be behind them. I have seen objects penetrate through windshields or strike the body of the vehicle causing serious damage/or injury. So in my small town, while out and about I take it upon myself to help remove potentially dangerous objects from the streets in our town. So enough of the FOD stuff. I have always had the Pikstik non folding grabber handy for me to use. So why did I also buy the folding one? Well I sometimes, rarely but sometimes I wished I had 2 grabbers to aid in some of the larger items that I find in the streets. The other day I somehow managed to snap one of the grabber legs off from a branch sticking out of a large bush. I attempted a JB Weld repair with somewhat less than stellar precision and decided to just purchase a new one. So here it is. The Pikstik has a price tag of around $25. The folding one was $10 on a 50% reduced price from $20. The photos show that other than the folding difference the 2 grabbers are identical. I will install the non folding one back where the broken one has been riding for years. The folding one has a little snap clamp that I have installed under the seat of my mobility scooter and I can access it easily when I need a second one to assist with the Pikstik. Both of these grabbers seem to work identically and equally. One $25. The other $9.95. Hummmm. Big difference in the price for what? Iโm not sure. But I am sure that I needed to replace the broken one I have with the same. I havenโt used the folding one yet but I can tell that it will probably perform equally as well as the non folding one. My recommendation would be as followsโฆโฆ Buy both of them and enjoy! I will! Now, I have 2 fur-babies that are ready to go for a ride today in โtheirโ scooter. Hopefully I will try the folding one today. I will be posting this same review on both of the grabbers pages.

Fantastic purchase.
Great little tool. After hip replacement, needed something to help pick up items that I dropped on the floor. This tool is lightweight, handle is sturdy but strong. Grip claw is sturdy and picks up the smallest of item with ease. Used it for everything until I was again able to pick up things without assistance. Will hang on to this for back-up as I age or my friends/family may need help in the future. This is great item.

Very Handy Tool
This grabber is constructed of lightweight materials for picking up lightweight objects. It is very handy for grabbing objects weighing less than a pound. I would refrain from using it for objects weighing more than a pound that are above one's eye level. Due to its sensitive gripper jaws, it really works quite well picking up all objects usually found around the home that wind up on the floor. I should have purchased one sooner.

Lightweight Budget Reacher Tool That Handles Everyday Pickups Reasonably Well
TL;DR: Lightweight, basic grabber that works as intended for everyday picking up, without any bells and whistles. I picked up this reacher tool mainly for grabbing items from high shelves and retrieving things that fall behind furniture. For that sort of light duty work, it performs acceptably well. The overall weight is low, so it is easy to handle even for longer sessions, and the 32 inch length provides a useful extension without feeling unwieldy. The trigger mechanism has a straightforward pull and returns cleanly, so repeated use does not fatigue the hand too quickly. The jaws have a modest rubberized surface that helps grip common household objects. It can handle things like plastic bottles, small boxes, clothing, and lightweight tools without trouble as long as you keep the load reasonable. I would not rely on it for heavy items, but that is expected at this price and design level. The rotating head feature is a nice touch in theory, though I tend to leave it in a single position for most tasks. Build quality is what I would describe as functional. There is some flex in the shaft if you push its limits, yet for picking up trash, reaching into tight spaces, or supporting someone who wants to avoid bending or stretching, it holds up. As with any user experience, this is only an opinion, not objective truth, since durability will depend on how hard and how often it is used. Overall, this is a straightforward, budget friendly reacher that gets the basic job done for typical home use. Thank you for reading my review here, I try to be helpful. Excellent Durability and Dependability
I just had major hip surgery and this thing has been a game changer. I don't have to bend over to pick stuff up the grip on it is amazing. If I had one knock and this feels like nitpicking I would say that the heavier the item is the harder it is to pick up. But that's the reality of life right. Picking up for example a empty glass bottle super easy for this thing. Picking up a glass bottle with a liter of water in it not so much. But it's helped me and pay for itself 10 times over in the first hour that I used it. Due to the added grip structure on the actual grip part meaning it has some lines on it and some bumps to assist with grabbing things you're able to maneuver very small items as a result. I cannot speak highly enough about this. It seems very sturdy and not cheaply made. I also love the fact that I can fold it up and it is very easy to maneuver size-wise if I need to carry it in a pocket or like a crossbody bag. Super effective very versatile and can use it for just about anything. Again the biggest issue being the heavier the object the harder it is. But for most things that are lightweight or medium weight this thing is awesome.

Reach for it
I have one of these downstairs and this one for the upstairs. I drop items behind or beside the washer-dryer area. This grabber gets them easily for me. Also comes in handy for high items on shelves as well as dog toys under the bed or other furniture. A great tool for those of us needing an extra hand or reach. The grip and size are just right for my needs at 78 years old.

Meh
Does the job just not what I was expecting compared to others I've used. It does not extend, nor rotate to reach narrow spaces. Handle is very bulky, which makes it hard to find a place to store this thing in my apartment; cannot hang on the wall. I bought this because I am short, not elderly and thought I could use this instead of grabbing a step stool. While the grabber end is sturdy, it has damaged soft & delicate items in it's grasp.

A very useful tool
The story is extremely useful when you have hurt your back or have difficulty picking things up from the floor. It looks very sturdy and is very easy to use and the best part is that the price is very reasonable for the quality of the product that you get.
