Portwest UH447 Hi-Vis Reversible Rain Coat Waterproof

This is a wonderful coat that actually does keep you dry. I work outside from early spring until late fall (March to November). Where I live we can get heavy rainstorms and get them frequently. The temperature also fluctuates sometimes drastically from day to day. The coat is large enough to wear a warm coat underneath (I ordered it a little larger just to be sure). It is of high quality and most importantly I can wear it a full 8 hours in the rain without becoming wet, due to water soaking through the material, and depending on the temperature- without being cold or over heating. Unlike some reversible clothing items it isn’t awkwardly fitting worn either way. The coverage is wonderful. I am 5’6” and the coat covers me down to mid-shin level. It is made of quality material that so far hasn’t ripped or shown any snags even though I’ve caught it on wood and once on a nail. There are two improvements I would suggest: creating a breast pocket on the black side of the coat like the one on the fluorescent side and a pocket at waist/hip level to hold a phone or other necessary items. The coat does have slits that allow you to reach through to underclothing but it is much less convenient and no where as easy as an outer pocket would be. Other than that I have absolutely no complaints about the coat.

The jacket came in exactly as described. I’m so very happy with the quality, the material and the fit. It’s super heavy duty. Would recommend 10/10 to get this. Having the hood detachable I was very skeptical about it. I just wanted a trench coat that was reversible instead of getting two different coats. After putting it in on, it has a very good seal and overlap to protect the neck. Thank you so much ! Great service by Amazon too with the delivery service and package and handling. The price tag is great. Other similar jackets I saw online was ridiculously high compared to this. Well worth the investment. The one my department got us was crap. This is perfect.

Really nice heavy rain coat

It’s perfect. Made from high quality material, it’s not made with cheap crappy materials. I’ve used it out in the rain already. It keeps me dry and safe at work. Even my coworkers liked it.

This keeps me dryer then any other coat I've had in the past. Only downfall is it snaps, if it had a zipper and more than one pocket I would be giving it raving reviews.

Waterproof and windproof, keeps you dry, get 1 size up if you need to use this in cooler temps when wearing more than a light jacket or hoodie under it as its hard to get front closures closed and fits too snug in shoulders and upper arms. Hood does not fit over a hardhat, I'm 5ft tall and bottom comes to my ankles. Perfect for rainy or windy days/nights when you need to stay comfortable, dry and visible to traffic.

Get like 3 sizes up if you’re law enforcement with an outer carrier. I got 2xl but it was way too tight and the buttons would pop open. Seems waterproof , it’s more of a shell not meant to keep you warm. Goes to your shins so only calf area gets wet. The pass through pockets are big enough to pull your gun out but it’s kinda awkward. I’d prefer a way to have it be a little more accessible. Don’t expect to put your mic on the outside of this thing it’s impractical. Same with a physical badge. The hood comes off which I actually don’t like because it kept unbuttoning while I was doing tasks in the rain. I think zippers for the whole thing would be better than buttons tbh. I reordered a 4xl cause I need something asap in the storm. If I had more time I might look elsewhere. Price isn’t bad , isn’t great

I work EMS and ordered this for the job. It come as described it’s nice and thick but come pre stained like it was in someone else’s tool box or blood bath cause it’s stained bad. I also ordered it in a 5XL due to being 6’2” and 340 pounds but when I opened the box the bag it was in was labeled 5XL but the actual coat tag says 3Xl it does fit but not with a work uniform on and all my other stuff or when I set down. They need to make sure the bags are sealed or at least make sure the sizes match. I’m 10 out of 10 disappointed I now have to find a ups store and take it back or pay $12.00 to have ups pick it back up ridiculous
