We bought 3 of these to cover our patio doors to help manage the sun and heat. We placed them outside to prevent the heat getting through. Blinds or inside blackout blinds still let the majority of heat in. If you place them outside they prevent the sun but also the heat getting into the room. They worked perfectly and our family room remained cooler all day even with sun on that side of the house all day on a day of extreme heat. This is only a temporary plan while the heat is so intensive. The benefit even for one day was worth the cost. They will remain up while the heat is intensive.

This was such a life saver, helped me get better sleep as my bedroom is now and dim and dark as I like it. It was also very easy to install.

Works very well because I go to work early in the morning so that means I have to go to bed for 8pm and summer is very bright but with this block out my room is very dark love it

Bought this for one window in my caravan that has a street lamp just outside and the light comes through the little holes that the strings go through all the way to bottom of the blind. These little beads of light wake me all night as they are right next to my head. Not now. I decided to use velcro provided to put it on and they work great. There's plenty of material left over to do other windows. I was a bit worried about negative comments on the stickiness of the velcro backing but I found them very sticky and stayed up, tight in the heat, for the 3 nights I was away. It was defo worth the money to get a good night's sleep.

Ik ben heel tevreden over deze aankoop. Ik heb dit gebruikt om mijn slaapkamerraam te verduisteren omdat ik een rolgordijn te duur vond. Dit geeft dezelfde verduistering en houd ook goed de warmte buiten voor een fractie van de prijs. Je moet wel handig zijn om het netjes op maat te knippen en goed te bevestigen, maar daarna ziet het er heel goed uit. Ondanks dat ik hier een beetje sceptisch over was, ben ik positief verrast over hoe goed het klittenband en de permanente bevestigingen blijven plakken aan het kozijn. Het zit nu al 2 weken voor het raam en er is nog niets losgekomen. Omdat er zoveel stof over was heb ik nog 2 kleinere ramen en een deurraam kunnen verduisteren. Echt een aanrader als je de kwaliteit van een rolgordijn wil maar niet de hoofdprijs wil betalen!

This is a very effective sunshade, and I would definitely recommend it - especially if you’re willing to get a bit creative with the installation and know what you are doing. I mounted it on the outside of the window to prevent the frame and glass from heating up, which in turn keeps the room cooler. To secure it, I used simple gray tape attached to the sides of the window frame, wrapping it halfway around. No need to use tape that comes with the blind. When the window is closed, the blind stays firmly in place between the frame and the window. Because the material is both sturdy and very thin, you can still fully close the window without any issues. I chose to place the black side facing outward so it blends better with the building’s façade, but it does not alter effectiveness. It stayed in place in strong winds as well. On a hot day with outside temperatures reaching 34°C, the room stayed at around 26°C. The window glass and frame remained practically cool to the touch, even in direct sunlight, which was impressive.
