The company has good customer service and took care of the problem.
The fan kicks on every few minutes. It will not power a full load. The inverter turns off with the fault light on as it should with an overload. It will charge from the USB ports. The unit is defective does not run a anywhere to a 500W load. I have it connected to a 12v 600Ah battery bank of LiFePO4 batteries. Update: Sept 2025 The company's customer service rep reached out to me since the unit was not working as it should. To make a long story short the sent me a new unit to replace the one that didn't work right. Got the unit today and tested it. It works fine and even powers MUCH more than I was trying to do with the old one. So not everything is 100% all the time but the customer service rep was great and made it right. I am now giving this 5 stars for caring about the people and their products.

Works well for the price.
Works well. Run at 460 watts (small space heater) for 5 hours. Fan runs but noise level is tolerable. Case gets warm after about 2 hours with MOSFET mounting points warm enough to be uncomfortable to touch for more than 5 seconds (so don’t do that LOL). The rest of the case is warm but reasonably so. For the price this 500 Watt PSW inverter works well. If your application is under 500 watts continuous this compact inverter should work fine. For a step above you might check out the Bestek 500 watt PSW inverter which easily handles 600 watts and stays lukewarm… but for $30 more. If you’re application is PSW under 400 WATTS watts continuous the Cantonape is a good choice. In my case this unit is for a 55 inch OLED TV, a surround sound bar, and a Roku. About 230 watts.

Won't run things that require a pure sine wave inverter.
This is advertised as a modified sine wave inverter but since you may not be aware that it will not run devices that require a pure sine wave inverter, I decided to write this review to advise you do your research on that beforehand. I learned the hard way that it would not run my furnace and had to purchase a pure sine wave inverter. Since neutral and ground are bonded in your electrical panel, some devices, like my furnace, are looking for that and a bonded neutral plug plugged into one of the inverter outlets may be necessary also.

Good inverter
I have a 24 volt solar array and a 24 volt inverter. I recently set up a couple other 12 volt panels I had bought a while ago. I did not want to spend a lot on a 12 volt inverter so I bought this one. I have used it quite often to power a 7 cubic foot freezer and an 11 cubic foot refrigerator. It works perfect with only one of them plugged In. It works well enough with both plugged in, although at times it will beep due to low voltage if both come on at the same time. It will usually get past that surge and continue to work as expected. It is easy to use. It shows the battery voltage right on top. It also has maybe four or five outlets. For the price of this inverter I am extremely pleased with it's performance. Ithink it is well worth the price.

thermal fault shutdown
I bought this 13 months ago. until last week it sat unopened, waiting for the next power outage. our power went out as the big chill of Jan. 2024 started. this inverter and car battery were used to power fan on fireplace it worked great for 3 hours before power returned. A week later we are at the end of an ice storm power has gone out again, 20 hours so far and another 24 estimated before power restored. this 500 watt inverter worked fine powering the fan on the gas insert for 3-4 hours this morning then shut down with fault indicator. resetting (on\off) will enable it to work 1-2 minutes before next fault failure. the internal smart fan never comes on that I can tell. I tried using an external USB desk fan to blow into the fan port, had same 1-2 min. shutdown. small fan load, less than 30watts, should not overwhelm 500watt inverter.

Not for large watt pull appliances
I had given a 1 star rating at first because I wasn’t satisfied with the product. It does have lower efficiency, but it works fine for small wattage items. It’s not made to handle anything that pulls a lot. I had an issue with mine and had just counted it as a loss. They reached out to me and offered to get me a larger inverter but I declined as I had already bought a new one. They then issued a full refund even though I told them they didn’t have to. Very good customer service and business ethics.

At Last!
Finally. An inverter round the $100 that will do what it claims. Pure Sine Wave output 1600w continuous power supply. So fed up of sellers trying to pass off inverters as 4000w and either not making clear if that is the surge rating or rated flow. ALSO Claiming pure sine then in the description in smaller detail its a modified sine. AND I've even bought a 4000w inverter that had no other rating in the description, had problems so contacted the seller then said it was rated at 700w - the unit was not capable of reaching 380w without shutting down every time. Bit of a rant i know but this has been across the usual overseas platforms but also Amazon eBay and Walmart. Point being there's a lot of total crap out there but this one is Legit. I've had to send 7 inverters back for being faulty or way under the claimed rating. Tested this one on a 1450w load for 15 mins with no problems and for me that's a Huge win at last. Seems very well put together, sturdy, fan is defiantly not the noisiest

Won't run a mini-fridge, low voltage?
I bought this 500W inverter specifically to run a small Frigidaire EFR492 refrigerator off a 12 VDC trailer battery. It is 4.6 cu ft, made by Ningbo of China, and also bought on Amazon, where the page specifies 110 VAC, a bit strange since 120 VAC is normal in the U.S. Digging deep on Frigidaire's website finds specifications of 110-120 VAC and 65 W power, so "should work". It appears the refrigerator controls have a trip which doesn't like the inverter power, my guess due to low voltage. I used my Fluke 123 Scopemeter, which showed a clean sine wave, and exactly 110 VAC. A clamp-on DC ammeter showed the 12 V draw was 0.7 A, both with no load and with refrigerator on, which is the inverter's expected base draw. The inverter's "fault" light occasionally flashed and the output cut-off, but it didn't latch the inverter off as a shop light connected to it would turn back on after 1 sec. Connecting just the LED shop light increased the draw to 1.4 A. Strangely, my multimeter couldn't read the AC output, jumping around wildly, while it showed a steady 119 VAC on my home power where the refrigerator ran fine. Finally, I connected a charger to my trailer's 12 VDC battery to boost input from the inverter from 12.5 VDC to 13.2 VDC. The inverter and refrigerator then worked differently, but still not correct. The DC draw jumped to ~25 A, but came and went. I expected 6 ADC, given the 90% inverter efficiency. The refrigerator motor got warm, but it didn't vibrate like when on home power and the refrigerant didn't get cool. Afterwards, it still ran fine on home power. So, I will return the inverter to try another. No charge for the engineering time. Edit - I later bought a 300 W "pure sine" w/ 120 VAC but also didn't work. Then bought a 1000 W "pure sine" and worked. I measured 7.4 A draw at 11.8 VDC with compressor ON (close to expected) so must have a very high startup surge.

llegó en caja genérica de Amazon, olia a quemado cuando abri la caja.
Se envió en caja genérica de amazon y cuando abría la caja, el inversor olia a quemado. Imagino que es porque lo probaron antes de enviarlo (lo estaré monitoreando). ya lo instalé y funciona bien, aunque pensaba que podria aguantar mi refigerador de bajo consumo eléctrico pero al conectarlo al inversor éste hace un pitido y la salida de voltaje se va a 0.00. El refrigerador es el unico aparato que podria consumir mas potencia ya que no conectaria una plancha y menos un horno..

inversor de corriente
Lo estoy usando en un robot con computadoras caras y de momento (un mes de uso) sin ningun problema tiene buena calidad en los materiales. Se calienta un poco pero dentro de lo normal. Buen producto
