Does this replace a moisturizer?  Or do I still need to use a moisturizer with this?

Great question! Depending on your skin’s needs, we typically recommend applying your daily moisturizer as usual and then following with sunscreen as your last skincare step. However, our SPF does contain lightly hydrating ingredients, so you may find it provides enough moisture for you. Is this waterproof?

Thanks for your question, Megan! :-) Our Mineral Face Sunscreen is not waterproof. In order to make the formula waterproof, we would have had to add silicones and other synthetic chemicals that can be harmful to the environment. Our Mineral Face Sunscreen was designed to nourish and protect the skin while meeting stringent reef-safe standards.

Does it leave your face without shine?

Thanks for reaching out! :-) We are hearing feedback from customers saying that skin feels supple immediately after applying and that the formula sets to a healthy-looking satin finish that’s neither glowy nor completely matte.

Our sunscreen has a smooth, creamy texture that applies evenly and absorbs easily. It dispenses white out of the tube, and there’s a subtle white cast as it’s being rubbed in, but it sheers out and blends in for a natural look. Like most sunscreens, this formula should be applied generously to the skin at least 30 minutes before sun exposure.
