It revived my practically dead HPLaptop! Before this, I almost felt like being harassed by my laptop on a daily basis. I had put in so much hard earned money into buying a laptop for everyday use. I didnt pay much attention to the hard disk it had. I thought only space mattered. But after i started using it for about a month and installed normal everyday use apps like chrome etc. it showed its ‘aukaat’. It would take forever to start and would hang completely in the middle of operations. I upgraded the RAM from 8gb to 16gb. Still, it didnt fix. Then I got to know about the disk-space being used up almost 100%. After a little research, i found the culprit and it was the slow hard disk drive. I was confused with other cheaper SDDs but my experience had taught me that trying to save money by compromising on quality ultimately proves costlier in the long run. So I purchased this on 20th dec, 2025 for near about the price of sevenK. Just a month ago it was about one.fiveK cheaper. The AI mania has really shot up the prices of sophisticated chips. I think its better to invest money in such chips than holding it in gold or other assets.

My HP laptop, which came with Windows 10, began to run significantly slower after I installed Windows 11. For instance, it took 4-5 minutes to access the login screen, 10 minutes to reach the home screen, and it would hang when opening basic applications like Excel. However, replacing the HDD drive with an SSD drastically improved the laptop’s performance. I purchased the SSD at a discounted price on Amazon. I personally installed it in the laptop without any prior training, so it is very easy to install(unless you have the necessary tools, don’t attempt this yourself). The SSD is incredibly lightweight, making it almost imperceptible when placed on your palm. WD is renowned for its manufacturing quality, so its performance is also top-notch. Before installing the new SSD, I ensured that I backed up my data so there was no data loss incident. Got this ssd at lower price on amazon.

Updated Review on 20th July, 2025 This SSD Gave Up Abruptly without warning in 6 months. Great as long as it lasted which is just around 6 months of actual usage. My Original HDD still goes strong even after 14 years. So this SDD is a poor replacement of the orignal XBOX HDD. Never go for this Used this to replace my 250 GB HDD in XBOX 360 Slim which was bought in 2011 and now out of space. Also purchased a 2.5 MAXCOM SSD enclosure from Amazon to house the SSD inside XBOX360. Pros 1) XBOX 360S boots almost instantly 2) Copied over 500 games on the SSD 3) Remarkably faster 4) SSD works well on both Mac and Windows as well as XBOX 360 5) With a HiperAds 2.5 Sata Cable I attained speeds of over 280MBPS on a thunderbolt 3 USB 3.1 C port. Cons 1) Lasted just around 1.5 years 2) Unreliable 3) Not to be used for gaming

One of the best investment I made this year, migrated my whole disk with less than 1 hour. 500gb capacity was more enough for me but higher the size it'll be more durable in life so purchase as per your requirement. Side I haven't used much will post any issues if arise in future. Speed test area awesome so tried realtime file transfer worked fine. Note: try check file transfer in ssd only if you're file transfering from hdd speed rates are limited to it, mine old hdd was 100mb speed max 108mb.

Product arrived timeously and clearly good quality befitting the Western Digital brand image/promise. Once installed it works well, as expected. Install/usage instructions to install/use, etc. are not that great, got to say, and can be described as reasonably acceptable. No doubt at all that WD could/should have made the process a whole lot easier .... disappointing. As WD and SanDisk are now clearly part of the same group and it therefore needs to be clearly explained (PLEASE NOTE, WD!) that SanDisk is now the lead brand / product and that, for instance, management of WD products seem to clearly be via the use of SanDisk software, etc. Thus, a whole lot of "greyness" pervades around the implications of both these brand names existing within the same company. I would imagine that non-techie / newbies to SSD installation to replace their HDD's would find this process unnecessarily difficult. One has to ask the question why the greyness around this modern, popular SSD usage, etc. to replace one's older technology HDD's? Weird ... Deserved criticisms aside, as mentioned, the WD SSD is good value and, once properly installed, works well. Newbies can trust the delivery of this WD SSD but will be a little challenged in finalising the installation/usage/management process. As a new, working SSD therefore, once properly installed, I can recommend the quality, speed and expected reliability expected from the WD brand name/promise. Make sure, however, that you go through the frustrating, clunky process of registering the disk, otherwise any possible future failures will not be honoured.
