Very good “small child” theology book!
Great book for small children. My granddaughter started asking questions that were hard to answer, and I found this broke it down to her level. The illustrations were colorful. I recommend this book for children eight and under..

An interpretation not the story.
Not the Creation story as such. An interpretation of the meaning of creation with a strong sense of the understanding of the Southern Baptist writers. Nicely printed and colourful illustrations.

Not a retelling of the Creation story
I bought this book for a baby shower gift, expecting a basic creation story based on Genesis 1-2. However, I was surprised by the clear complementarian theology, and the depiction of Adam and Eve in Western wedding clothes. It's fine to have these things in a book, but I wish there was some sort of a preview. This isn't really the creation story, but rather an interpretation of creation. Not what I was looking for at all, and it doesn't make a good baby shower gift.
