Walensee Twist Tiller

I bought this hand tiller for my husband, and it’s been a great find. It was about 40% cheaper than the one at our local hardware store but offers a very similar quality, sturdiness, and excellent affordability.It definitely takes a little elbow grease to use, but look at it as a great way to burn some calories while prepping a new garden! It’s simple and effective. The only minor downside is that grass sometimes gets caught in the claws. However, this isn't an issue at all when you're working directly in clean dirt—only when clearing grassy patches. Overall, I highly recommend it!

I’m content with this manual tiller so far. The tool is durable and functionally sound, and it works really well for tilling in a specific corkscrew motion. When I use it for its intended purpose—breaking up firm chunks of dirt or aerating soil—it performs exactly as expected without much strain.However, I’d suggest knowing exactly what kind of substrate you’re planning to work with before buying. I initially thought I could use this for my compost pile, but it wasn’t the best fit for that specific use case. While it does help till the debris, the larger pieces of cardboard and various "brown and green" materials constantly get tangled in the tines.The main drawback for me is that it requires frequent cleaning of the tips unless the compost is already fully decomposed. It’s a great, sturdy tool for standard garden soil, but the maintenance becomes a bit of a hassle when dealing with coarser organic matter. Overall, it’s a reliable choice as long as you're sticking to dirt and well-broken-down materials.

I dislocated my kneecap last year and have been unable to weed my flowerbeds like normal. I bought this to help minimize my time on the ground and thus knee pain. This has made such a huge difference. Pulling up grass and weeds is so much easier. I wish I had one years ago. I think it saves so much time and is so effective. I do have short legs and arms so this was the perfect height for me. I can see where a taller person may have to bend over some to utilize the tool.

So i was looking for a garden weasel (no longer in production) but this seemed similar. And it is in a lot of ways, and its not in others.It's a good tool and works well. But, its not the same.It is very sturdy,i was a bit worried when i saw i had to assemble it but it is tough as nails.Mixes garden soil well, easy on the back and shoulders (I'm 58 -a granny- and do all my own garden work).

I’m a74 year old woman, and I love this thing!! I, after ten years, I finally have a small garden of 4 tomato plants, lots of peas, 5 cucumber plants, 6 brussel sprout plants and a Hubbard squash. Granted, I was only, at best, good for clearing 4’ X 4’ per day but I was digging up thick Bermuda grass and huge bush roots.I love it for weeding between rows, where only easy-does-it effort is required.

Really works built strong metal - digs deep. Easy to use and easy to put 2 screws to put together. I did my front yard and back yard SO simple and didn't hurt my back. Recommend.

Absolutely love this tiller. I am 69 years old and it is easy to use and store in my small shed. Would give it a 10 out of 10.

No foot rest to push down so if you don't have enough upper body strength it's not for you

It is amazing and so easy to use. I really don`t know why I haven`t bought one before ! Easy to assemble and not too heavy. It is easy to twist removing big clumps of weeds very quickly and much more effective than a spade or fork. The only reason I stopped using it today was because it started raining but I had already cleared significantly more weeds in a short space of time. You do have to bend a little ( I`m 5ft 7 ) but not as much as when using a spade. Would recommend it to anyone, excellent piece of gardening kit
