Just the rollers I wanted
These rollers are exactly the perfect balance for me: they're soft enough to wear while I sleep while still providing enough definition for my hair. I saw these for sale at a BB&B and decided to check online reviews before buying. While the reviews for these curlers are somewhat mixed, for me, they've completely lived up to the marketing. I am really happy with the results. After using them, my hair is curly without being over-curly. Getting lots of compliments about the way it looks. [Side note: I have one of those hair types that almost defies explanation. The texture is very fine, but my hair volume is very thick--I have a ton of hair. The manufacturer's description for the two types of curlers is a little confusing. The "mini" curlers say they're for short or fine hair. The large curlers say they're for long and thick or curly hair. Did they mean coarse (texture) or thick (volume)? Because fine and thick are not describing the same thing, with regard to hair, and you can have both--or neither. I know people with coarse, thin hair, for example. I made a guess that they were referring to texture and mean coarse instead of thick, so I opted for the mini rollers.] The first time, I was able to roll up my hair in about 15 minutes. I think it will be even faster once I completely have the hang of these rollers. Some people have complained about the velcro. I didn't have a problem with the velcro because my hair isn't coarse. People with coarse hair may have more of an issue with the velcro. I didn't have any issues getting my hair snagged on the closures. I also made sure my hair was about 50%-60% dry before rolling. The only con I would say is that I wish there were 2-4 more rollers in the pack. There are 12 mini rollers in the pack and I've had to put a little more hair than I would normally put in a roller on two or three of them. (I could also buy another pack so that I have enough.) I have fairly long hair, so if your hair is shoulder-length or shorter, you won't have an issue. Also, these rollers really are soft. I'm a light sleeper and move around a bit, so I followed the suggestion of some others and covered my head to help keep my hair from coming out of the rollers while I slept. That really was a great tip.

I wanted to love this product
I wanted to love this product. I watched two days worth of YouTube videos showing real people using this product and their results. Looked simple enough. I chose the small rollers because I contacted customer support beforehand to see which size would work better for my shoulder length hair. I tried the product three times all resulting the same. They slipped right out of my hair as I was putting them in. Not easy at all. They surely wouldn't stay all night in my hair as I slept so I decided to wear a loose bandana to hold them in place as I slept. Not a comfortable sleep at all. Still I was excited each time I woke up hoping for beautiful curls. Not happening. I just got a lot of weird bends and some oddly straight pieces even though everything was in the rollers. Not a good look. I know there is a learning curve and yes my hair was the correct amount of wet/dry and I used styling mousse before putting them on the "correct" way. Believe me, I read the instructions and watched videos each time I tried them. I have super straight fine hair. I have better luck with the InStyler which I love. It it weren't for the uncomfortable sleep I would keep trying again and again with these rollers. I'm glad they work for other people though. It's not for everyone. Unfortunately I waited too long to be able to return them on Amazon. I saw them recently at BB&B for $10 less. Bummer.

Not great for fine, straight hair
My hair is fine and straight, and the rollers kept sliding out. I had to tie a scarf around my head to keep them in. The velcro stuck in my hair and pulled several hairs out. All of that said, I tried them twice, and each time these rollers gave me some body, but no curl. They also left weird dents in the hair from where the velcro straps were, and I had to tease the hair to blend where the sections were and get rid of the dents. The whole process (not including dry time) was way way more time-consuming and far less satisfying than just using a curling wand. They were cheap so I am not sad I tried them, but I am not satisfied at all with the results. Maybe they're better on a different type of hair, but for my smooth, silky fine, straight hair that is past my shoulders, they did not work as advertised. I'll pass them along to a friend.

Didn't work for me, might work for you
I don't know if it's just my hair type but these did not work for me. I have long, thin, fine, pin straight hair and the curls wouldn't hold for more than two seconds after I took them out. I even tried putting mousse in my hair well it was wet, texturizing spray while it was wet, hairspray while it was wet. I tried a lot of things just simply did not work for me. My hair is very difficult to style, there is only one method that I can use to curl my hair for it to stay. I see the potential in these, but it's just not a great fit for my hair

Not for all hair types.
Don't buy if you have fine hair. I have super curly fine and thin hair. I was hoping that I could use these to give me looser more defined curl without heat damage. First off the idea that anyone could sleep comfortably, without drugs, with a head full of these things is ridiculous. They are soft but not comfortable to sleep on. They are a little tricky because you can't get the curler tight. They did leave indents in my hair. I tried putting my hair in a high pony tail and putting the curler in the end. I could sleep that way but once my hair dried it was so fine that the curlers came off while I was sleeping. The best result I had was to flat iron my hair first (thus defeating the purpose of buying these) and then spray on some leave in conditioner and put the curlers in. It gave my hair a bit of waves but it didn't last. And the waves weren't that great.

These are so hard to get on your hair. Rolling the strap around the roller is difficult. I have medium length hair and thought the shorter ones would be better because I could do two rows. Didnโt work. Disappointed in the product!
