I wear a 9.5 shoe and ordered that size sock, they fit me fine and were comfortable to wear all day with my Merrill walking shoes on or off. These are quite thin so if you need a padded sock for boots they may not be the best choice. For general walking around and working on a mild or hot day they are great. The top band of the sock is made smaller and tighter than the rest, not sure why this is but it didn't bother me wearing them all day. They do breath well and don't make your feet sweat, making them great for summer weather. I've had some linen shirts that were really cool even on very hot days. Not sure how these socks would be in harsh winter weather, I'd probably wear thicker ones for that. These aren't quite as soft as the bamboo fiber socks I've gotten, but seem softer than my cotton athletic socks, they are very comfortable and way better than the usual all synthetic socks. Unlike some socks they are smooth around the toes with no seams or bumps, a great comfort feature. Of course, like advertised they are undyed, so they are kind of an off-white with accents of brown.

Looking for sock with no elastic around top.

These are attractive and well made socks. I appreciated that they were available in two sizes. I have smaller feet (8) and some of the one size fits all socks are simply too large. The fabric is a nice weight on the thin side...thicker than nylon dress socks, but much thinner than typical crew socks. I would have preferred they bit just a bit thicker, but I am happy with them as is.. Obviously everyone's feet are different, but these fit mine very well. They stay put, no bunching up or stretching. They also wash well, no stretching or shrinking and no snags. I can't speak to how well they will hold up over the long term, but all initial indications are positive

Been looking for the perfect socks. These are not perfect, but a solid 4 stars. They are very soft, even before washing, felt very nice. They are also very thin. I was thinking about wearing them with dress shoes, and think they will be perfect for that. There is not much padding on the bottom, but they are shaped well, the toes and heel line up where they are designed to go. There is a small band at the top with some elastic in it. Not much, but holds them up without squeezing the leg too much. I would have liked a bit more cushion on the bottom, just feel very thin. They seem to be strong, and I like the natural color. I certainly will use them, very nice.

These are not made for those with bigger foot sizes. He's still trying to get used to the fact he can't simply pull them on like he can with his older socks (mind you, those are very stretched out and the entire reason we had to get new ones in the first place). But he says they're more light weight and don't make his feet sweat like the others did, so that's a bonus.

The husband wanted these socks for warmer weather months. He got them because they were advertised as thinner socks with moisture wicking, which is what you need for the hot summers we endure. He says they are a bit too cold for his feet now that the weather is turning colder, so be aware. These are best for a warmer weather. He says they are worthy of five stars because he got what he ordered, he likes the socks, and he is used to having socks for every season, so the socks being thinner is no big deal to him. The blend of linen and cotton make a very soft, comfortable sock. I ordered the the smaller size for my husband, who wears 9.5 shoes. These socks do not contain any elastic or stretch, which is a pleasure to wear because there is zero compression. The only small complaint was that there was "extra" room in the toe box. He has some sensitivity from diabetes and likes his socks more form fitting without stretch. They are lightweight, on the thin side, socks but probably could be worn all year. Nicely constructed, these socks warrant 4-1/2 stars.

I was appalled to discover used socks in the package
