This works perfectly. It has a smooth, buttery texture that melts on the fingers right away, making it super easy to spread across the skin. Despite how effective it is, it feels surprisingly lightweight and never heavy or greasy on the face. It removes makeup effortlessly, even stubborn waterproof products. For reference, my foundation is Estée Lauder Double Wear, and it is no match for this cleansing balm—it breaks it down with ease. What I also love is how gentle it is on the skin. I have fairly sensitive skin, and it doesn’t cause any irritation, redness, or tightness afterward. It leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and comfortable rather than stripped. I use a wash cloth to remove it before washing it off and my skin doesn't get irritated at all.

I’ve been using this product for a month now and I LOVE it! 1. A little goes a long way, as with all Beauty of Joseon products. I love them all by the way. 2. Very nice and smooth going on my face. I look forward to using it almost everyday. I switch up with the Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser but I like this cleansing balm better. It feels like I’m rubbing luxury on my skin. Face and neck. 3. I do not wear makeup. This is not just for makeup removal! I use it to clean my face and I do not have to follow up with a face wash. This works fine on its own. 4. This is the only cleansing product that shrinks the strawberry pores on my nose! Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Refreshing Pore Mask also works but it’s not a cleanser and I do not use it everyday like this cleansing balm. 5. It goes on like an oily cream but rinses off like water. That doesn’t make sense does it? I’m trying to say it’s not a messy and it rinses right off easily! 6. My face feels so smooth and hydrated when I’m finished! Of course I still follow up with my moisturizers (mixsoon and castor oil), but it doesn’t leave my face ridiculously dry like some other products. 7. My Holy Grail for Effortless Makeup Removal! I have finally found the perfect first step for my nightly skincare routine. The Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleansing Balm has a beautiful, sherbet-like texture that immediately melts into a silky oil upon contact with the skin. Why I love it: • Deeply Cleansing: It effortlessly breaks down stubborn sunscreen, waterproof makeup, and impurities without any harsh scrubbing. • Gentle on Skin: As someone with sensitive skin, I appreciate that it doesn’t leave my face feeling stripped or irritated. • No Cloudiness: Unlike some other balms, this doesn't leave a film over my eyes or cause any blurring. • Nutrient-Rich: It’s formulated with rice bran water and grain extracts, leaving my complexion looking bright and hydrated after rinsing.

BEAUTIFUL cleansing balm - it does everything a cleansing balm is supposed to. I use a wet (water squeezed out) washcloth to remove the lifted makeup and even using just a washcloth removes all the lifted makeup and debris thoroughly. Because I wear a lot of makeup whenever I do wear makeup, I end up doing a double cleanse with the Joseon balm and then I’ll use a separate cleanser to complete the cleansing process. My experience with cleansing balms is super minimal - I’ve only ever used the ELF Holy Hydration cleansing balm, which is also awesome. I find these two to be completely interchangeable in terms of their incredible benefits; the determining differences being that Joseon is more product for a lower price, and the ELF has a subtle but very light and pleasant scent while Joseon is totally fragrance-free. My skin breaks out EASILY. I mean, there are maybe 5 cleansers on the market that don’t give me blemishes. I had previously used olive oil as my “cleansing balm”, again using a wet washcloth to remove it. But I always felt off about that process - I trusted that my skin barrier was being protected but I felt it pulled at my skin somehow to use that, and there always seemed to be this heavy quality to the whole cleansing process. It was draining. These cleansing balms are literally life-changing. I hesitated to put wear makeup because the olive oil cleansing was so laborious. This cleansing balm makes cleansing a freakin breeze. I wish I had hopped on this bandwagon sooner. I can’t believe it doesn’t cause me any breakouts. It’s so perfect, it’s pleasant to use, and I feel perfectly clean and refreshed when done, and my skin feels perfect, literally - no residue, clean but not stripped; protected, neutral, perfectly clean, just truly a flawless neutral canvas. It’s a perfect starting point for the remainder of my skincare regimen. I highly recommend.

This is an excellent cleansing balm! It feels luxurious and creamy when use it, and it easily takes off long-wearing foundation as well as eye makeup. It also does not irritate my eyes. I use this as the first step in a two-step cleanse, and when I do, my skin feels clean and refreshed, but not tight. I prefer it over many other oil-based cleansers, including the Kosymo and the Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, for its superior gentleness and ability to get all the makeup and sunscreen off.

It truly melts off your makeup. I have used the farmacy, clinque, and Elemis cleansing balm and this one has left me so impressed. It is gentle on the skin and I have seen an improvement on my skin! It is a part of my double cleansing routine and by far, the best of all the ones I’ve used in the past. It leaves my skin soft and does not irritate it. I have also noticed less clogged pores. Very happy with it and will be buying this again!
