I was nervous at first because the color looked like a greyish-poo color while mixing, but I trusted the process and I’m so glad I did! I’ve also never dyed my own hair before so I can with confidence that it’s pretty easy to figure out. The final result came out better than I could’ve ever expected and was done in about an hour after applying (No exaggeration!!!) My hair was purple and black before, and it turned into a gorgeous blackish-blue after. The color was really rich. What really surprised me is how long it lasted. About a year for me, even without using color-safe shampoo or conditioner. Very impressed with the results!

Okay, I had to leave a review because this is officially the hair dye I will be getting for my hair. I would go to Sally’s and get another brand that was blue black and dye my hair but I was having to do almost every month because my hair is a dark brunette but for some reason I have these red tones that come out of my hair and I hate it. I don’t know if it’s just from all the years of dying my hair and then being outside but yea hated it and now I have grey hairs coming in. So after like 3 weeks, my hair would be showing up red tones and greys. So I decided to try this brand since it had a lot of good review's and I noticed my hair was black! With this hint of blue in it and I loved it. Today is when I was noticing that I have washed it couple times and it has been more then a month and I still haven’t seen any red tones come out! I have seen a little bit of my greys start showing but not that much but no red tones! I couldn’t believe it! I do have some blue tint come out every time I wash but I also don’t have a sulfate free shampoo so I know my shampoo is stripping some of it out but my hair color is still intact! Well, this is my main go to hair dye. It won’t me over.

Love this hair dye. Only brand I will purchase and use. It holds up well! About 6 weeks.

I mixed a whole tube of 1B Blue Black and a whole tube of 1N Jet Black after seeing someone else do the same. They used 2 of each because they had a lot of hair. Very long and thick. Well, my hair is not too long but VERY thick and I almost ran out, so consider getting 3 tubes if you have hair that is at least shoulder length and thick. I wish I would’ve mixed a tube of 3B Darkest Blue in as well. My next time coloring, that will be my combination. I used a 10volume developer because I wanted to only deposit the color. Not really lift anything. If you are going darker, don’t use a high volume developer because you will fry your hair for no reason. 5, 7, or 10volume is just fine. My hair is a natural dark brown color that I don’t like. I prefer cooler tones with my skin and my hair has too much natural red in it. Before coloring, there was no dye in it at all. I had bleached and toned my front pieces(I will include a picture) but they had grown out by 2 to 3 inches again. I got tired of bleaching and toning for root touch ups, so I decided to just do a darker, full-head look for fall/winter. I did fill the blonde pieces in with a red semi-permanent color first to make sure the color wouldn’t go green. The 1B and 1N combination came out great and seemed to neutralize any red tones in my hair. The pictures I have included are unedited and in my room at night with a corner light on. Because let’s be for real: Pictures of the hair color where the person is outside in the shining sun are actually unrealistic because most of us are indoors more often than not. If we aren’t under office or store lights, we are under residential lights. I want my hair color to look good no matter what lighting I’m in, and it does.

Update: If you wash your hair more than 1 time a week it will fade if it is on platinum blonde bleached hair. It did for me. Update: June, 2023 Photo is after a few weeks of daily wash this time. This is over platinum blonde. There is some fading with more frequent washings BUT it looks great! I like the different shades of dark blue that have appeared. It looks like I did it on purpose with different hues of dark blue. Update from March, 2023 Wife says: "this blue does not slip out of hair like all the other brands of perm "dark blue". Has been 4 months, I wash my hair 2 times a week with hot water. There is some tint in the wash water but the color is NOT FADING👍😃 like all the other brands🥰👋🏻" Wife says: I have looked for decades for a true PERMANENT dark blue. This is the only one👍 TIP:this is a high lift depositing color. IF YOUR HAIR IS DAMAGED DO NOT USE 20 VOL DEVELOPER OR HIGHER. USE 10 VOL DEVELOPER IF YOUR HAIR IS DRY AND DAMAGED.

This did nothing to my hair. Followed everything step by step and no color stayed deposited on my hair. If anything it just turned my gray hair more of a silver. Never again

Ive been dying my hair for 30 years noth at home/salon. The older you get the harder it is to cover grey hair + the frequency gets shorter + shorter between dyes. Discovering Age Beautiful Hair Dye has been fantastic. OMG!! Permanent Hair Colour that stays its rich deep colour + doesnt wash out down the drain. doesn't start to fade after 1 week + lasts (me - might be different for ea user) 4-5 weeks depending on how much regrowth you are ok with.
