This item is a GOD SEND ! My Great Pyrenees had to have hip surgery .She turned 1 year old in Jan .2024 . I fought with the idea a surgery for 3 months . BUT , I know she really needed it .She was BORN WITH a bad hip . Being so young , she has many years to Play & run and have a pain free life .So I let her have the surgery . FHO surgery . This belly band has been the most amazing thing I bought to PREPARE for her surgery . Amazon is my go to for fur baby needs . She is HEAVILY medicated , and can not walk on her own JUST YET . The vet told us to just use a beach towel . NO NO NO .I wanted her to be as comfortable as POSSIBLE . This BELLY BAND is the best thing ever . You can help them walk with less pain .The QUALITY IS AMAZING ! It is very HIGH QUALITY ! This SOFT PART that goes under the belly is very soft .The stitching is also great ! And there is a lil thing to hold straps in your hand for ease of use . You NEED TO ADJUST the straps to your comfort level !! The first time we used , did not adjust straps .It hurt our back . THE KEY IS to ADJUST the straps ! The shorter the better for us !!!!! Our baby weighs 80 pounds . This will hold up great !! IF YOUR baby is having leg surgery , THIS ITEM IS A MUST . I buy all my babies needs on Amazon .We have 5 rescues . 1 was given to us . BUT all other 4 are rescues ! I would have more , if I could afford to .Thank you Amazon for helping me prepare for my babies surgery !

It was a great product but just not the correct size.

It was perfect for our dogs sudden medical emergency. Sturdy and comfortable.

This sling has an excellent girth for a large dog. I had previously purchased a different brand but the width was too slender and actually pinched my sweet dog. She’s over 100 pounds and putting something around under her tummy has to be comfortable for her so that she will not be afraid of the sling when I need to use it. The width is important for helpful lifting for the dogs comfort. If she was a little dog I wouldn’t need this sling . The inside of the sling does have a faux sheepskin material that also hopefully gives my sweet dog extra comfort . The handles can be lengthened for waking along side my dog but I have not used it for this yet-, I just used it to help her into the car and out because she has a torn ACL and I’m hoping to help her so she doesn’t harm her knee further or cause further injury. So far I am happy.

My puppy had surgery on her leg and needed assistance for 2 months. This held up well and was machine washable on cold. I never had any issues with it's quality or comfort for her. It was perfect to keep her from chaffing where I was lifting her. It comes with a soft Velcro pad that you can use to attached both handles together, which was great for my mom with arthritis in her hands.I will say that if you use it outside, make sure you keep it off the ground. It's very difficult to get small sticks, pollen pods or broken leaves out of the fuzzy pad without hand picking each piece.

Perfect for helping our senior big dog to stand up ! Then he gets his balance and lumbers off👍🏻

Only had it a week before it had to be used. My 55lb dog is missing a back leg and she sprained her remaining leg on the ice on a very cold day. It made a huge difference in getting her up off of the ground and into the house. It allows you to get maximum lift from around the mid section without causing pain to the dog.

My old dog did not like it at first. But now he allows me to help him up the stairs with this sling.
