The fit of this style is intended to be baggy. It was a little more wide at the waist than I wish, but I expect a bit of shrinkage after washing, which will help with that. I did find a it a bit difficult to button because there is a button on both the front and back, making it hard to bend the fabric around the buttonhole. Not a huge deal. There are several button holes, making it a very flexible fit for different heights. The fabric is lightweight, but I got them for wearing on very hot days in the yard, so that's what I was looking for. The legs hit just above my ankle bone — I don't usually love cropped pants, but this is actually helps with the overall shape since they are a bit baggy. There are several length options for the straps w/various button holes, and the pockets are nice and deep.They are a loose fit around the body, which I like, but it does make the butt look kind of saggy, but honestly, I'm in these for comfort, not showing off :). The straps are long enough that you can criss-cross them in the back so they stay up better when you're active. I think the tulip hem on the legs is very cute.
