All original key parts fit the new key shell ok as a replacement. What you should know is that the new key as a complete unit often comes apart when twisted in the lock, leaving just the metal key part in the lock which is difficult to twist subsequently on it’s own especially if you’ve got delicate fingers. One solution is to use superglue or even better is an epoxy resin to solidify the new battery so it’s solid as possible. Make sure you use a new max strength battery as when it wears out you’ll need to break the key open to replace the battery again. Should last another year at least this way and it’s a much cheaper option than a new Toyota key! Good luck but it won’t be necessary in my experience.

I've bought a lot of key fobs over the years but this is the worst. The key sleeve is made too big so the key is sloppy in the fob. The screw in the bag is longer than the original screw but too short to even hold case together. Had to use black electrical tape around key to take up most of slop then use the tape to hold it together securely. I would of sent it Back but I need the key working and you have to destroy the old plastic on old key to get it out of glued sleeve.

Good cover which fits perfectly. However, the very small tiny are too difficult to fix or replace, even with a magnifying glass and tweezers!

Why didn’t I think of buying one of these sooner instead of keep repairing my broken one.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I chose this product for the additional buttons in case they were required to repair my fob. In the end I only needed the rubber buttons which fitted perfectly into the old shell.

My buttons fell out my original key as there only held in with glue from the factory. According to a garage I had to get a whole new key which would of been £150. I bought this and was surprised to see it actually worked and I replaced my buttons in my original key for £7. There’s no glue involved and it is perfect.
