This is a nice and compact umbrella. It has a little bit of a heft to it that gives a high-quality impression. The black umbrella gives UV protection. It's easy to stash in a purse, pack or in the glove compartment or map pocket of a car. You can't go wrong with this one. It makes a great gift too! You can spend more, but they are not as compact and may not offer UV protection. Coverage is very good for one person. It's a good value!

Better quality than I found in stores at similar price point.smooth operation. Not too big, not too small. Cover easy to remove and put back on.

I've had a lot of umbrellas over the years. While this one isn't the most compact or lightest umbrella I've ever had, it wins hands down for being a strong, sturdy, well made umbrella. I took it on a trip to Europe during the rainy season and was really impressed. I encountered some strong wind gusts that would have shredded lesser umbrellas but this one was up to the task. Feels heavy duty and well made. It takes some oomph to close it but that's minor. It saw a lot of rain and wind and never felt out of it's league. I was glad that I had it on my trip. I'm impressed and would buy again if needed.

This umbrella primarily stays in my car, ready for those surprise showers! The absolute, most important feature is the "push-button-to-close" one for use with a vehicle. All travel umbrellas have a "push-button-to-open" feature where you stick the umbrella out of the slightly opened door of your car (in the rain), push the button to open the umbrella, then finish opening the door and get out of the car while remaining under the opened umbrella. Okay, no big deal. The big deal here is the opposite action, when you come back to your car in the rain, open the car door, sit down in your car seat while holding the umbrella up and outside the door, close the door most of the way, and hit the button again, and voila....the umbrella collapses back down where you can get it into the car and shut the door easily. You will have to (later) push down on the center spine/handle of the umbrella to "re-load" the tension for the next use. The only slight negative is that for pure travel purposes, the umbrella is a bit bulky and heavy for its size, but it is strong and seems to last a long time, so for me and for my purposes, that is just fine.

This umbrella is very sturdy and strong, made very well. I feel like it’s well worth the money.
