I got this recently for my Rav4 2006. I mistaken purchased the one for windows and should have purchased the one for android but I am not going to exchange it as it was already costly installing it ( as i had cameras installed at the same time). Everything seems to work okay for now however, I have not had the time to try everything out yet (eg haven't tried using the blue tooth on my phone). I read it works for both windows and android connectivity, and the only difference between the windows version vs android version is that the windows version doesn't have wifi capabilities or use hot spots (you can search for question in search box).The unit fits and i didn't need to buy a frame kit. Initially, i wasn't sure but decided to bring the product to the store (Visions electronics) and ask the sale guy. He wasn't sure so ordered a frame for me (they sold it for $30, as they have it in stock, so i didn't bother ordering it on Amazon). Turns out the unit already comes with built in frame so I got a refund for the kit.My 2006 Rav4 has 3 steering wheel buttons. One is "Mode", Volume and Change track/ or radio station. The "mode" button doesn't work after it was installed, but the other two, Volume & Change Track/Radio worked . I do miss using my Mode button as I used to be able to switch from radio to cd.(By the way, it plays DVD or CD (just so you know as i wasn't sure as it described it as a DVD player, but didn't mention CD, but I was told by Visions sales that it would, and he was right). I 'm quite specific so details matters especially when you are buying online.The only disappointment is that I could only insert one (1) cd. With my old car stereo, I was able to insert 6 cds (?) can't quite remember. But this only let's you play 1. You cannot upload more than 1.I also installed a backup cam and the image comes on the screen perfectly.So other than my own mistake of buying the windows version and not the android version, it seems to work well.

Easy to install just need to splice 1 wire for the speaker. And i did install a reverse camera too and it works great! They did give me a free activation code for the wireless carplay. Great costumer service!

BLUF: An awesome upgrade, but not a good as I expected. If you just want to hook up your phone blue tooth, then this will do it. LED diffusing used for front lighting is not at the correct angle to see clearly.I got this thinking I can stream video on the the monitor but just running YouTube revealed that images will be hard to see from the seated position even in darkness. Proper viewing angle appears to be head in or higher, like a laptop. (See photos: one taken from head on, other taken from high angle rear view mirror hieght. Cannot stream video using carauto. Dimming seems to be insufficient (for me) for night drives so you'll have to put it on an image display that you're comfortable with or download a dimming app. It also seems the display is mounted slightly too low where the bottom most part of the screen is unviewable from the seated position.I attempted to use the DVD fuction, but it did not seem to work, perhaps I didn't know how to use it, and it almost didn't give the disc back until i pushed the "reset" button.Installing revealed you can only use two of the mounting screws in the unit. You'll will also need to pull the clips out if you original radio. Otherwise electronics is pretty much plug and play. You can change the knob lights to match it preference. Headlights will activate dimming and is configurable.You're have at least 3 USB inputs that does data and power; two from the back of unit. You can buy USB ports that you can make it look factory. Your aux audio that's near your side mirror adjust will no longer function it seems.I didn't utilize the nav feature since I prefer a standalone Garmin.The Android system seems to have OK computing power but lags a little bit if I try to do certain things. Not much configurability as you might expect from an Android system.Overall it's an ok unit but I would be better off just having a holder for my smart phone and hooking up the aux audio since I can't watch video with it. Would I keep it, I would if it wasn't for the fact there's a 4gb RAM, 64 gb, octo core CPU version of this for $100 more and with a b/u camera.One good thing that it has over the version i speak of above is that it has a main menu button, where the other one you have to utilize the touch display and the main menu on this is a little more comprehensive.

Makes the 1999 bmw 328i look marvelous. Perfect fit and sounds great.
