I recently upgraded to this Dyson floor attachment for my vacuum, and it has truly transformed my cleaning routine. My old attachment had worn out, and initially, I thought the issue was with the filters. It turned out the real problem was the attachment itself. The pickup power is outstanding, effortlessly capturing dust, pet hair, and debris from both carpets and hard floors. One of the standout features is the built-in light, which makes cleaning in dimly lit areas so much easier. I no longer have to strain to see what I’m cleaning, ensuring that I don’t miss any spots. My original Dysan kit came with a floor power head but to my dismay the instructions said it was not recommended for hardwood floors! Then when I went to see about getting the Dysan version of the hardwood floor power head, they wanted to charge an exorbitant price! This power head is a perfect option that will work great with the Dysan V10 vacuum. It is very reasonably priced, has great suction power and the roller for hardwood floors is a nice soft nap that brushes everything into the stream of vacuum without scratching the floor. It is fully maneuverable and has a nice LED lightset at the front to highlight crud in front of it. The best thing about this power head is that because if brushes all the crud and hair so readily into its vacuum, the charge of the vacuum actually lasts longer! I don't have to keep going over a spot to lift up the dirt like when using just the brush nozzles. This means I can vacuum more of the room before the charge dies and the floor is actually cleaner. Great addition without the cost!

This vacuum head isn’t as strong or smooth as the original Dyson one, but it works fine for daily cleaning. The headlights are a nice touch, and it fits my V10 without issue. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done and is a decent backup if you need a quick replacement.

This replacement is - dare I say- better than the factory original rollerbrush head that came with the vacuum. So worth it!

Eventually, the power head on your Dyson v10/11 requires maintenance beyond merely cleaning the crud a/o swapping the brush. I refer to disassembly: a lengthy, tedious, fiddly, generally unpleasant--and risky--chore. Faced with doing this odious task a THIRD time, I was motivated to find an alternative solution. A bit of searching on Amazon reveals the existence of a few aftermarket Dyson-compatible power head offerings. Each seems like a complete redesign of the kludgy OEM Dyson power head, and this appealed to me. That each product was compatible with the v10/11 AND is competitively priced is also appealing. Some have ACTUAL WHEELS, which is a definite upgrade from Dyson's ridiculous plastic disk things that wear unevenly, chip, and inevitably fail. What DIDN'T appeal to me is that these aftermarket products are generally unbranded Chinaseum-made doodads with dubious longevity and zero support after thirty days. But at only $20, I decided to give this particular power head a try. This power head comes with two new rollers: a bristle for carpets and a fluffy for hard surfaces. The thing fit the business end of the v10 want with zero interference or play, and it powered on as expected. It's comparatively quiet. The superfluous LEDs light. The roller spins. The wheels glide over every horizontal surface. Most significant: It vacuums as expected. Honestly, my expectations that the thing function at least as well as the OEM powerhead are satisfied. But is it a viable upgrade from OEM? My experience as of this writing is that this specific aftermarket powerhead performs nominally as the floor part of a vacuum should. On bare floors it gobbles up larger detritus without flinging it around; on carpeted surfaces it picks up hair and embedded stuff without clogging; presuming the correct roller is installed for the appropriate floor, of course. Bottom line: So far, I'm satisfied with my purchase of this aftermarket v10-compatible power head.. I'll update my review should the thing disappoint me in the smallest way. Find an aftermarket powerhead that suits your sense of usefulness and give it a try!

We have been using this vacuum head for over a year now and are very happy with our purchase. Unlike other generic products that we used, this one has been working very well. I did not think that the light would be useful at first, but it is actually very helpful to spot the dust and dog hair. We even started keeping the ceiling light off when vacuuming to find dog hair better. Highly recommended and will absolutely buy again.

This is a very disappointing replacement part for the Dyson V6. The poor design does not allow for adequate vacuuming as the roller does not extend to the front or the sides like the original part. It has trouble with anything larger than cat litter and tips up off the floor when trying to vacuum low under furniture. It also seems very underpowered. I would not recommend this item.

While away my daughter ruined the head for my Dyson and I had to throw it out...I bought this hoping it would be sufficient and I actually like it better. It has a light which my Dyson head didn't have and seems to work a bit better! I would highly recommend!

This works way better the the one that came with my v6 Dyson cordless vacuum. I have now replaced everything on this vacuum except the actual motor but the suction with this Dyson vacuum is what I need for all the pet hair in my home so that is why I haven't given it up. I can not live with out this vaccum so that is why I have replaced all the parts but I don't want to pay Dyson price tag for parts and these parts attachments are actually better the first power head I did buy from Dyson and it broke too so this one I took a chance on and love it and feel its better made. Now iv only had it for a few days so will see how it stands up but it is smoother across my floors and way nicer to use.

I wish I bought it years ago. The original power head on my stick vac, the DC59 Animal, was very poor on hard floors, no wheels just the tiny rollers, and always felt and sounded like it was dragging and scraping across the polished boards. The stiff roller brush was good for getting pet hairs up off carpets and rugs, but useless for getting dust up off the hard floors, and also, with 2 long haired humans in the house, it was constantly getting bound up with human hairs wrapped all around it. The new head is perfect, it glides effortlessly, so smooth and silent on those big wheels that run on bearings, and have rubber tread. The big fluffy roller is soft and dense, so it sweeps up all the dust, whilst somehow not getting hairs wrapped around it. There are LED headlights for dark corners. It is a bit thicker due to the big roller brush and wheels, so can't as easily fit under low furniture. The 2 felt strips on the undersides are fraying a bit, but that's the only fault I can pick. I don't have any pets or rugs now, so Im not sure if this head would be good for pet hairs and carpets. One of my photos has the old pet hair roller brush for comparison. But for hard floors it's been the perfect upgrade. It wasnt cheap, but it's a quality build, so I'm very happy with it, my old vacuum now feels better than new.

Our original V10 brush broke in half after a year and a half. I didn’t want to spend $200 on a replacement. Amazon came through again! This brush seem quieter and easier to move when vacuuming. The lights are a great touch even though I know they will drain the battery faster. Suction is good. I never had the fluffy/soft brush before and it works great on hardwood floors. I use the harder brush one on carpets but it also works on hardwood too. Hopefully it lasts a while but no complaints, I love it!
