These are perhaps the world's most durable measuring spoons and are built to last. Thoughtfully labeled in both Imperial and Metric units, their narrow design gets you into the spice jars. Glad someone finally figured that out. Duh

I bought this set because it had the three-quarter teaspoon and 1/2 tablespoon included and I didn’t want the ones that came with measuring cups because of the measuring cup reviews stating that the edges were sharp. Bought these to replace plastic measuring spoons. They are well-made and are on the heavy side, but since you only use one spoon at a time, that is not a problem. The ring that holds them together is riveted on one end (and of course the riveted side does not open, but the other side does). The opposite side has opposing teeth that catch each other to lock and is easily opened by pulling one end toward you and pushing the other end away from you and then pulling apart. I don’t understand the reviews that said they couldn’t get it open. The measurements are well etched and pretty easy to read. The edges are smooth, not sharp. The 1/2 tablespoon and 1 tablespoon do not fit into the narrower spice jars. The 1/2 tablespoon is 28 mm wide (just over 1 and 1/16 inches), and the 1 tablespoon is 31 mm wide (just over 1 and 3/16 inches). You can measure the inside diameter of your spice jars to see if they will fit. One reviewer wrote that finely ground spices get stuck in the corners. I haven’t found this to be the case, but the spice might not empty just by turning the spoon over, but it only requires a mild tap to release the spice. Accurate enough for cooking. I measured the spoons against each other, two 1/4 teaspoons filled the 1/2 teaspoon, etc., etc. I also have a liquid measuring cup that’s graduated from 1/2 teaspoon to 2 tablespoons. I used water in the measuring spoons to compare to that measuring cup and it was spot on for the 1/2 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon. I’m very pleased with these spoons. I tried to address the issues in the negative reviews and agree with the positive reviews.

These are good quality measuring spoons. They are flat instead of round, so they will fit into spice jars. Being heavy duty stainless steel, they should last a long time. I like having all the different sizes, and the leveling tool is actually handy too.

These measuring spoons is a must have for every kitchen. Complete set of great quality stainless steel measuring spoons. unlike many measuring spoons with missing measurements, these have every measurement needed for baking. The quality is great. Stainless steel easy to clean and dishwasher safe. I like the shape of the spoons to get in narrow openings in tiny spices jars . Long handles make ease for holding. Great price for stainless steel spoons. Easy to read the measurement that are engraved not printed on the spoons. Durable.

I love these!! I bake constantly, and I am particular about my measuring spoons. Honestly, I probably could have done without the 3/4 teaspoon and the leveler, but they're nice to have just in case. The metal seems to be high quality, and the ring is arguably a little TOO strong. Like, requires elbow grease to open. All of the spoons up to the 1/2 TBSP fit into my spice jars, which is really all I can ask for. I lost my favorite set of measuring spoons, but these are a lovely replacement. They all nestle into one another cleanly, and don't take up too much space in the drawer. A win!

Just received this product. I really liked the construction of the product although they are quite heavy. The shape allows me to reach into most of my spice bottles. I typically don't purchase products made in China. However, because of the comments on the Dallas-based Spring Chef website ("We have put a lot of pride and passion in making high quality products offered at the best price."), I assumed they were made in the USA.

This set came on time, well packed and in excellent condition. Now that I have 'this' 8 piece set, unless the Measuring Spoon Burglar shows up, I do not picture myself ever having to buy measuring spoons again. I'm done. It is a robust build providing good tactile feedback while using. The leveler, at least using with the larger spoons, is quite handy. The size and shape configuration makes getting in and out of seasoning containers a cinch. I don't ask much more of a measuring spoon. If I had to insist on taking a poke at it I would say that the ring the spoons are on should be a little bit bigger and easier to handle. As soon as some cheap key rings show up at the dollar store I'll upgrade the ring on my measuring spoons and then I'll really be done. Enjoy!
