You have to stop thinking of it as pricey and start thinking of it as an investment with longevity and surpassing any other similar product on the market by exceeding expectations. Tips and tricks: Its chilling capability is well known. If you desire to extend that time, pre-chill in the fridge, or just store your YETIs there with the slider closed. For example, if I want iced tea, put ice and my tea in the chilled Yeti, and chill further, about an hour with a moderate amount of ice. What I find is that the ice has formed a conical iceberg-type shape, and that it melts much more slowly, with minimal watering down of my tea, soda, etc. From day one of owning a Yeti, I made it a habit to close the slider. You let some of the ambient temperature in your room enter the Yeti if you keep the slider open. I find the lid to be quite secure, but I am realistic about it not being spill-proof. The closest you could get to being spill-proof would require latches, and that is not practical. Even if you could find latches to secure a lid, they would likely be made of plastic, and frequent movement of plastic in this manner would make it prone to breakage. Yeti is the only container I will drink from near my computer. I use common sense and make certain that the area around my Yeti has nothing around it, such as my iPod charging case, or something similar that I could accidentally try to place my Yeti on if I were not looking. I am grateful for my habit of closing the slider after I take a sip to minimize a spill from any imperfection that could occur. The one imperfection I had was not a spill; it was not having the lid 100% closed. A few tablespoons landed on my desk, but I was easily able to take care of this by always having a microfiber cloth in my desk to clean my screen. Yetis make the perfect gift! Everyone is thrilled to get them. Even if that "hard to buy" person has one, they will be glad to get another. Pssst, get the boss, a secretary, etc., one for the holidays or their birthday; you will not be forgotten. Cons: ZERO

I cannot believe how long the ice stays frozen in this thing, even in the Las Vegas heat. I originally bought the smaller one for me. My wife didn’t want to spend that much, until she saw how long the ice stayed cold in mine. So, she got the 30 oz one, and loves it. Worth every penny.

Love these tumblers! Probably my 3rd in many years ...replaced not from problems, but cosmetic appearance. Big, dishwasher proof, keeps ice cold for many, many hours. Coming from Coacella valley CA (hot) in August I think you get the idea. Do not hesitate - this is the only tumbler you should consider!

The tumbler will hold either a hot or cold Venti sized drink from SB. The tumbler can be put in the dishwasher. The variety of colors are entertaining. Thermal qualities are a big plus.

I really like this Yeti Rambler! The size is perfect because it fits in my car’s cup holder, which is something I always look for in a tumbler. The only thing I’m unsure about is the lid. It feels like it just sits on top rather than locking securely into place. If you drop it or accidentally knock it over, I could see the lid popping open and spilling. I was also disappointed that mine did not come with a Yeti sticker. Hot stays hot not warm for hours and cold liquids even longer. Love the colour and quality. Has ok suction, if you lay it down it will not leak, only if you turn it completely upside down, some fluid does escape. The 30 oz Rambler is great for your car commute and home use. Not convenient for outdoors and hiking other activities. If needed, I will buy a detachable after market handle or buy another Rambler with the handle added. Still pleased with my purchase.
