I actually use this to secure my GPS communicator while hiking alone in very remote areas. It is of great quality that has never failed me. I used it through an entire summer.

This worked really good to hold my rangefinder. I clipped it to my safety harness and just let it hang. It's nice to not have to worry about dropping it while in the stand. But it's also easy to unclip it and put it away or use it in the ground blind

Works well but doesn't hold much weight. Still, it saved my "heavy" phone from being lost in the snow. The quick release is difficult to operate.

Works ok for my Samsung Note8 Phone, which is 7 oz. However, the 8 oz retract needs help to wind up (it will also hang with a few inches of slack). 20 oz is too much tension to use the phone as it will want to pull out of your hand. 6 oz is too little and the phone will want to drop. I ended up ordering the 14 oz Scuba model which comes with 2 clips T-REIGN Xtreme Duty Scuba Gear Retractor with Carabiner and 36" Kevlar Cord, 14 oz. Retraction Force, Great for Guage, Flashlights, Cameras and More!. My phone doesn't hang with slack with that one.The lock is seems to work better when pulling on the cable as it likes to lock every few inches.The end cable is a little long for my liking but it is secure. The regular tether with the wire end loop looks like it will fail, and it can scratch the phone.My carabiner wire came a little bent. It's just a plain ol' carabiner (I've seen nicer ones). Quality could be a little better for the price.

Great value to me and durability to hold my GoPro and attached tripod (short 20” stick not too heavy). While I’m shooting pix with my camera this keeps my GoPro right at my side and can zip it right into video mode when my subjects get super close (whale photography). The locking mode is a little hard for me to click due to bad arthritis in both hands but does work great. Highly recommend for anything not super heavy that u want to b able to grab and use and then can retract til u need again. The length of the code is very long to. With the GoPro stick expanded I have no problem with it being long enough limiting my shooting range. Best thing I’ve purchased to make photography on a boat in the ocean easier and keeps it safe.

Works great. I use for my phone. I always make sure to be careful if disconnecting the plastic clip and I have never had one break yet.

I bought this to retract my rangefinder, it might retract 2-3 keys but will not retract with a rangefinder. I have a 10 year old Nikon one and it is a much better product for less money.

Heavy duty. Bought it to use on my rangefinder.
