VonHaus Tiller Rotavator Corded 1500W – 10m Cable, H Bicycle Handles

A really powerful and robust tiller rotavator. Quite effective at loosening the soil, helps extract rocks, stones, dead roots, weeds etc. upto a depth of 4-6 inches necessary to aerate the soil and prepare it for raking and levelling. The 1500w motor generates enough power from the mains to till through the soil easily. The wheels help in maintaining stability while operating it and the machine feels well planted at ~12kgs while being driven. Caution: take care to avoid large tree roots and rocks, never try to force the rotovator deeper down into the soil; instead clear the loosened soil and go for a second pass over the area to achieve better depth of aeration. Pace yourself gently and steadily thro the lawn, raking the soil after each pass for a better finish.

What a fantastic machine! This rotavator exceeded all my expectations. Assembly was straightforward and took less than an hour after delivery. I was quickly out in the garden preparing a 10m x 7m area for a new lawn. Despite the ground being heavily compacted, it powered through with ease and did an excellent job. Highly recommended. A real little workhorse!

Great for partially broken up ground but struggles with turf or very compacted ground but great for preparing seed beds, does chuck the soil about though if you aren't carefull so you have to spend a bit of time clearing up but on the whole would recomend.

I was cynical that this thing would work but it's an absolute beast for the size and money. I was used to a big heavy old engine rotovator but this thing is up to the job for what I need. Pull it backward through an overgrown allotment a couple of times and it's potato deep. Mind the cable!

Had a BUKO 2 stroke tiller, which was very good until the warranty ran out ,then it was so temperamental that I gave it away. Decided to go electric and went for the vonhaus 1500 tiller. Delivered in two days from order and ready for use in 15 mins. Excellent. I only have a small patch for tilling (15sq m) . I’m 77 with a few medical issues and found it to be very lively, but fortunately a helper ( my son) was at hand and in less than an hour the patch was a fine tilth ready for planting. The land had not been turned since last autumn, was set hard and dry, but it was brilliant to a depth for potatoes. He was so so impressed, he put it in the boot and did his own garden patch as well. This is a very good value for money tiller, in capable hands it can do a lot of work in a short time. Looked after it should last a few years. A very satisfied customer.
