RK1200T Automatic Sliding Gate Opener Rack Drive Electric Gate Motor for Heavy Driveway Slide Gates Up to 1500kg, Security Gate Operator AC Powered with Gear Rack, Beacon and Photo Sensor

I purchased the TOPENS RK1200T sliding gate motor and the wireless TC196 control. Both products arrived quickly and for a novice like me, the supplied instruction manual (and with the added help of YouTube videos) were relatively easy to follow and I managed to install the kit myself. There was an issue with the limiter switch however Zoey from customer support was excellent with her communication and advice in identifying the problem and a replacement switch was quickly dispatched which rectified the issue and the gate is working perfect now.

The installation instructions are clear but the concrete bolt provided had a different diameter than what specified in the manual, so I lost a day waiting to buy the right drill bit. Cable management is idiotic: everything seems designed to handle tiny wires and it's a pain to feed wires through the holes at the bottom, and to connect them to the control board. Magnetic limit switches are a really weird choice. Fiddly to install and of fiddly construction. What's wrong with tried and tested classic limit switches? The very good thing though is that the control board has 2 LEDs that inform you if the magnetic switch is active or not which is super helpful, well done. The cover case is very flimsy and I doubt it will offer much weather protection. The 230V light provided has a quality worse than a cheap toy. It's absolutely not water tight, and it's really puzzling why they had to go for an unsafe 230V on an enclosure that invites in water and has no provisions for making it water resistant. I replaced my broken Came BK1200 sliding gate with this Topens and the difference in overall quality is striking. If I didn't spend already all this effort to install the Topens I'd go back to a Came or another reputable brand. The remote construction and reception are great. And

This rk1200 works brilliantly and a step by step guide on how to use it. I had one problem which where I put the wires through, I move what looks like a capacitor and that needed to be in his place for it to work. I email Topens and a lovely lady called Jessica helped me through step by step guide on how to solve the problem. Great customer services.

I bought this nearly 2 years ago, and its still going strong. The drive unit is well made and the manual that comes with it breaks down the procedure for installation into easy to follow steps. Each extra control device, such as the motion sensor wand and push button entry/exit switches also come with their own installation guides and refer you to the main wiring diagram. I am not an electrician, and this was the part I was nervous about tackling myself, but after I had mounted the control devices and fed the cables back to the drive unit I felt confident to finish wiring it myself. It has added an extra level of safety and security to the property. I wanted to buy all the separate parts from one supplier for ease of fitting and compatibility, and Topens fitted the bill in the price range. Customer support is also top notch, they really do want happy customers, always get back to you.

Great buy works well. My gate is 26 feet wide and it has no problems opening/closing it . It seems a little slow when opening fully but that because of the width of the gate not the motor itself and on the plus side you can open the gate to a desired width . Easy to put together,good instructions,a very good buy for the money

Topens Rk1200t just the job for our sliding gate we had a bit of a problem getting it to work to start with but watching the online videos on topens website solved them as the instruction manual is a little bit sketchy then we had an issue with the travel magnet for closing but I sent an email to topens and Nancy emailed back with lots of helpful information and now all is good and working brilliantly
